Tangentially related but while working at a farm today I learned that Emus make a sound I can only describe as a growl. It's extremely loud and deep and not at all what I expected to hear from a bird, even one that size.

Their second dog is exactly the same body but part corgi, because it's just 6" lower to the ground. It's absolutely hilarious to see them walking together. Bizarre dog mixes are the best.
