Taking an opportunity to vent/ rant a little and not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers, it's really striking to me how interested people seem in talking about movies they hate. Maybe I'm a weirdo but I don't enjoy talking about movies I hate, and when I do I tend to try to see why they became the way they are, which puts me in the odd position of defending movies I don't even care for (I think a lot of it is the common assumption that unliked movies must have been thrown together carelessly by HACKS, when I've found that even the worst movies have had a LOT of thought put into them, and the best movies often serendipitous strokes of luck). I swear I'm not just complaining that my threads about beloved classic movies are relatively slow in garnering responses ok yeah I am. Just saying maaaaayyybe you all love these movies more than you're letting on. One day you'll finally be like "I love you" and Attack of the Clones is gonna be all "I know." *John Williams love theme*

I try to put more effort into writing about things I like, which is why I post about the prequels.  I'm also glad that the spaceship threads have kept going.There is a whole thing where when you hate a thing that opinion is a toxic thing that you need to vent somewhere, and if there's disagreement, arguments drive a lot of engagement on the internet, which is something to be wary about, but it is true. And in more specific terms, the Sequel trilogy still overshadows the entire franchise of Star Wars and it's still unclear how exactly Disney will move forward, and as a double whammy, people have a habit of clamming up about good TV shows they like for fear of spoiling.

It's not really that bad.
