It's OSHA because if you work in a factory you're supposed to wear hearing protection buds like that, but also when you work in a factory you are not supposed to be listening to music or a podcast because then you will not hear the incoming forklift

They've been around for years, mostly branded as "In-ear Musician's Monitors", I found an in-package pair of Shure in-ear monitors for $10, pack had the monitors, the foamies already attached, and like a dozen sets of spare foamies at a goodwill down the block. The real problem is how far you've got to insert them and goddamn you better have just cleaned your ear canals like that hour or.... gross things happen.
