to clarify, i dont think people who jack it to lolicon ought to be summarily shot, but probably ought to be banned from working with children. i just believe that people can often be monsters that need to be permanently restrained, or just shot, and the difference between lifelong imprisonment and execution is rather inconsequential to me presumably there are plenty of pedos out there that would never harm an actual human, and exposing such people to public humiliation is fine imho. but there isnt really any actual point in chasing after them, except as a performative reinforcement of public morality

outside the confines of the internet, the most fervent persecutors of pedophilia I've met are usually covering for their own abhorrent views and actions and try to use it as a cudgel to regain a moral high ground over anti-fascists/racists and people who defend the homeless and addicted. I have no idea what makes a pedophile a pedophile but I do know I don't trust people who call for extermination and death behind a veil of amateur psychology.

I watched a documentary about this and it was messed up, the two girls were coached and tricked into doing this as some kind of youtube prank and were sentenced and put in prison (next to each other at least) waiting to be executed. then one of them was released because Indonesia made a deal while the other had to stay for a while before being finally let out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4C8Ryd3H9i8
