I have a lot of difficulty finding stuff that isn't girl groups or solo women because so much of it is either overly sentimental sounding stuff or trying to sound way way too hard (like GOT7 or somethin) instead of just having a good time See-thru by Primary w/ Zion.T and Gaeko was pretty good but it's not consistently up my alley. JUNE sounds like a modern version of Bobby Brown's solo stuff right after New Edition

What? The video is well made with some great sets and she looks pretty healthy, especially her legs.  People with eating disorders don’t tend to have a lot of lower body mass or definition. Obviously Lisa is very lanky but she does not look like Rosé did in some of the performances this year (and to a lesser extent Somi). Ribs showing during dancing doesn’t automatically equal eating disorder. I still don’t like the song but it’s cool that she topped the billboard rap chart and pushed Drake out on week 2. Also the first foreign female soloist to win on a show.

When I watched the video literally all I could focus on was the ribs everywhere, even with the slightest movement. Normal diet and exercise don't get you to that level (and remember the old "camera adds 10lbs thing". K-pop has always had a close association with artists being forced not to eat so making a leap to eating disorder when someone's ribs are out every time they slightly move doesn't seem like a stretch. I'm overly sensitive to anything that might encourage eating disorders these days, given how awful TikTok has been at promoting that stuff, and the recent BTS comments of a member telling a fan to skip dinner because they'll feel better. It is funny though how wanting artists to have their mental health better looked after and be able to have nice normal diets brings out weirdo defensive fans that seem more on the agencies side than anything else though. Still think the video is awful though. Song is garbage as discussed when it came out, choreo is boring, sets are boring. I guess it's cool her bad song beat Drakes awful songs. edit: Actually the thing that has me most confused with people being defensive is.. saying someone looks like they might have an eating disorder isn't an attack on them? An eating disorder isn't a personal individual failing, it's something that comes around because of a toxic environment, media pressure, social media influence etc. I don't think there would be a single kpop artist that wouldn't have an eating disorder given they all go into extreme weight loss mode when it's comeback time. I thought the choreography was good on that Lisa Video though I don't like the song. I guess the only thing I can complain about is how it has 6 mil views on the day it was released. Coming from fandom that tells each other to increase views, 6 mil in a couple of hours is unheard of.
