What's a good mechanical keyboard for coding and also gaming, but won't make me look like a dork? though I'm also tempted by these two part ergo keyboards that you guys were posting a few pages back.

the best keyboards use 4-pin mini-DIN just like S-VHS the other best keyboards use an SDL connector (and not one with a 6-pin mini-DIN on the other end)

yeah. i have an OG m that i need to take apart and put a new membrane into. this involves taking it apart, chiseling off 84 plastic rivets, drilling 84 holes through where the rivets were, and using 84 M2 screws, 84 washers and 84 nuts to reassemble it after i replace the membrane, which costs twelve dollars. it'll be a day

i have a unicomp and i love it. for some reason though the bottom row of keys will stop responding sometimes. i'll plug in my WASD and use it for a while, then when i pull out the model m again after a few weeks it somehow starts working again. pretty weird

Elsewhere I am surrounded by insane keyboard nutjobs who build these tiny weird little keyboards that are broken in two and I'm like "you are insane" yet I am repeatedly drawn to this Moonlander split keyboard thing and I am feeling the pull more and more as this corsair keyboard a friend bought me years ago starts randomly weirding out. Is this how keyboard addicts start? am I in mortal peril?
