No but yes. You definitely can't store it at home like that but its (i think) not technically illegal to transport it like that unless the police deem it unsafe which they surely would.

This came up last time everyone was panic buying - IIRC:

Petrol can only be sold in sealed plastic containers of up to 5 litres or metal containers of up to 10 litres (or, obviously, into the permanently-attached tank of a road-legal vehicle).

Carrying it on the road is the same - you can carry as much as you want in a permanently-attached tank, but you can only carry 5 litres in plastic or 10 litres in metal containers (although 25-litre containers are allowed outside the passenger compartment if they're securely attached).

You're also not allowed to store more than 20 litres of petrol (or 20 litres total of any inflammable liquid) at home, and it must be in "suitable containers".

Again IIRC diesel and kerosene are slightly slacker because they're not as big of a fire risk.

its 30 litres at home, 2 of the 10s and 2 of the 5s.

Maybe the law has changed since the 2012 BBC article I read but it said carrying in your vehicle is a grey area.

Left wing foreign policy is extremely easy because it's basically just stop loving around where you don't belong so stop selling people guns, stop bombing people, and stop cosying up with the shittiest governments you can find. In terms of actual effort it requires nothing, because it's just stopping doing poo poo that the war psychos will literally tank their administrations over.

The actual interesting part is domestic policy, that's the bit that where you need actual effort. You could accomplish left wing foreign policy by just bulldozing the MI6 building into the thames after locking half your own MPs inside it first.

“Don’t sell weapons to the antifascist resistance” is a foreign policy but it’s not really a leftist foreign policy. “Don’t support Our Man In Countryia” when he happens to be emphasising the socialist side of his national socialism instead of the nationalist side is arguably the same (Ronya had a point earlier about how everyone goes quiet about the Indonesian massacre their pet side supported).

But it’s all a bit of a cipher because most of the time when you’re talking about geopolitics left wing means “was executed by the government”.

As much as Ifucking hated working for their call centre, I will sing the praises of Valspar with regard to their water based range.

Painted one ceiling with oil based and wanted to die. Oainted my entire office with grey undercoat then red topcoat, and it was lovely to be able to just wash the brushes in the sink afterwards.

E: Farrow & Ball can gently caress right off though, loving tory paint.

None of that is ever going to loving happen with the UK though, the UK is not in the habit of doing anything actually good internationally and may in fact be structurally incapable of doing anything good internationally because the only thing we can export is bombs, noncing, and cricket.

Seems stupid to construct elaborate "ah but what if" scenarios when the plain and simple reality is that everything the UK does abroad is bad and the easiest way to improve it would be to build a big wall around the island to keep the natives in.

And also because it's not part of the wider national debate about anything at present. Everyone goes quiet about the Indonesian massacre in general. Same with Burma except for that small period of time when our social media blamed their social media for blaming Rohingya Muslims.

Whereas according to our popular media sphere Corbynism was nothing but 24/7 glaring at the Israeli flag, unless you were part of the Hindu diaspora in which case Corbyn was going to give all of Kashmir and probably most of the Punjab to Pakistan, because that's something within the old man's power to do, and also rub a poo on every Asian person's doors.

I don't see why not, but one of the first things Sharon Graham is announcing as part of the "let's be better without waiting for labour to be better" policies is a lot more people on the phones to answer immediate questions from "employer bad because x" to "I'm not even sure I can unionize my workplace" so it can't hurt to ask.
