I made Korean fried chicken using this recipe but I had a brain fart and added 1ts of celery and garlic salt instead of 1/2 and the coating ended up way too salty. I'll try it again at some point, because it would be good if I didn't screw up.

Made fake muffuletta from stuff I can find, cannot be arsed to find proper focacia and forgot to order giardiniera but the olive salad I made was bussin and the salami/ smoked ham/sliced mozzarella/swiss cheese was perfect. Goddamn that was a tasty sandwich, gonna order proper giardinieara next time to add to the olive salad but I think ciabata is perfectly serviceable as bread.

I bought some prime filets and lobster tails this weekend - roasted okra and potatoes. Sear wasn't great on the filet, but was as close to a steakhouse (Morton's, etc) I've ever cooked.

I ordered Afghan takeaway. Was supposed to be a lamb shank with red berries, rice, salad, dip and bread. There were no berries or dip, and the "salad" was about four pieces of lettuce, a lemon wedge and a chunk of cucumber. The lamb and rice was extremely nice and there was more than enough of it for a very filling meal, but I am wondering what happened to the berries. And I would have liked an actual salad of some kind.

Cooked a couple nice ribeyes in the cast iron skillet tonight with a little butter. Wife is morally opposed to the cast iron for some dumb reason but she’s at a meeting tonight so me & the kid ate well. Side of broccoli and some homemade mac & cheese. I need a nap now.

Oh poo poo. I had one of these neat little meal packages they make at Festival Foods (grocery store) here at the meat counter. It's a little TV dinner sized thing and I got chicken cordon bleu with baby potatoes and a big ol' pat of butter and some herbs. They mark on the package if you should cook it for like 20, 30, 35 minutes or so. I've gotten a few of them before. I really like the pork tenderloin one. It's $6 and just the right size for me. They're very convenient. Tonight will be herb and garlic marinated chicken (24 hours) and some sort of frozen veggie. edit: oh I took a pic of it last night before cooking.
