Or if they get something on them you don't want them to lick. Or if they get mad stinky for whatever reason as long as you don't do it too often. It's not a huge deal if it's not traumatic to the cats.

if you do it regularly you can gently caress up the oils on their skin, which is pretty miserable

I'd call those 2 medically necessary tho, as it keeps them from licking up potentially unhealthy stuff

I had a friend who bathed her cat weekly, just because she decided the cat needed a bath, and his fur and skin were all hosed up from it

I met one of these once too. Cats skin was fine, but her fur was super screwy. Really thin and unhealthy.
