Dragon Ninja (Sayuri & Choun Shiryu) VS Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara & Cherry
Dragon Ninja have traveled a rocky road through the past couple seasons. “So What?” While this one wasn't the time for them to truly shine, they can right the ship in the Finale! This pairing is like a fantastic action movie come to life: the Crimson Kunoichi (female ninja) of the Fourth Generation Sayuri and the Kung Fu Specialist Choun Shiryu! They are a stylish force to be reckoned with! Sayuri has more than just wrestling technioques, she performs tactical Jutsu's, vanishing, and even running across the wall! She has finally hit her legendary bodyslam, and the sky is the limit for this red clad ninja. (I'd like to note here that if you are a big ChocoPro fan, Sayuri does a lot of stuff behind the scenes as well...and deserves a lot of credit!) Choun's artful offense is both beautiful and deadly. He even defeated Masa Takanashi and the Ace, Baliyan Akki! How can he move like he does? He finds a way to be both lighter than air, and stronger than steel. The dynamic fighter almost seems like an acrobat when he moves across the Square. Surely an Super Asia shot is in the near future for him, but could an Asia Dream Tag Title shot be as well? Dragon Ninja is a lot of fun to watch all around. Look out for their synchronized movements! Can Dragon Ninja take out two of the most brutal Fighters around? Let's Bodyslam!
Cherry Comaneci!? The Six-Pack Sisters of Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara & Cherry had a pose off in the last episode, proving how similar they are! (Body building pose offs are actually in Pro-Wrestling's DNA...) Will Cherry keep her alternate gear for this bout? Will these two (who are of the same age) show Dragon Ninja the power of physical perfection? Otoki is a very down to earth fighter for the most part, bringing a vicious realism that is much more visceral than a lot of the high characters of ChocoPro! Though the Showa Dancer might occasionally pull off a Comaneci Taunt or joyful twist, she's known for her ungodly kicks and throws. She was a champion Kickboxer, after all! Cherry also brings a lot of ground work and technical prowess, being able to roll into pins and armbars with relative ease. Cherry is one of the scariest grapplers to grace Ichigaya, considering she even gives a rough time to a lot of the power fighters! Are we seeing the birth of a new constant team? Speaking of which...
Tropical Snow!
Yuna Mizumori VS Ayano Irie
TROPICAL YAHHO! Yuna Mizumori is the “Tropical Fairy, Yunamon”, a vibrant character with intense power and shocking nimbleness. While she might not have been able to bring down the team of Saki Akai & Rina Yamashita (can you blame her?) with Mei, Yuna is still on a hot streak! She didn't get her Super Asia Title match this season (Get well soon, Minoru Fujita! We all miss you.) but this Sing Song Lariat Machine has been adding more and more of the technique to her toolkit...watch out for that descending variant! Yunamon is a charisma volcano, it is entirely hard not to be swept up in her passion for pro-wrestling! You'll find the Tropical energy rushing through you as she builds up to her high power skills. This Super Power Fighter puts on some of the best matches in ChocoPro! There is a reason she is considered one of the “Big Three”. One of the other promotions Yuna has been frequenting is AWG (Colors), where her opponent (and recent tag parner) is from!
The Tropical Idol will be taking on the Snow Princess from Hokkaido, Ayano Irie! I'm so glad we're getting more of Ayano this season! (Hopefully Season 10 boasts the same!) Ayano is a representative of the Actwres Girl'Z Colors promotion. Her “limb” targeting might be some of the funnest you will ever see, with her “Dropkick in Your Ear” being quite literal! (Seriously it rules. Its shocking how good she is at this ability!) This regal dropkick enthusiast is a Voice Actress, lover of Pandas, and overall wonderful addition to the show! (Her gear is some of my favorite in the entire AWG promotion, so buckle up!) If you're interested in checking out AWG further (it is worth it!), they have a streaming service for their catalogue and also air new shows on Nico Pro! I also hope we get more of these two on the same side, since they are a well balanced team!
ASIA DREAM TAG CHAMPIONSHIP THREE WAY
EGG TART (Chie Koishikawa & Hagane Shinno) VS Best Bros (Mei Suruga & Baliyan Akki) VS Masa Takanashi & Hoshitango
The Best Bros have the odds stacked against them. You might think all goblins are equally wicked, but you look at Chie and you look at Mei and you can see that statement is NOT TRUE! See, normally the Best Bros go one-on-one with another Team, so they've got a 50/50 chance of winning. But Chie's got that dark side, and she's not normal! So Mei's got a 25 percent at best at beat her! And then you add Hoshitango to the mix?
EGG TART (Chie Koishikawa & Hagane Shinno) return to face the Champs! The Best Bros couldn't put them down the last time, will Chie & Hagane finally be able to claim the tag titles? The fan favorite polar opposite team has a bizarre but perfect chemistry that can't be put into words. Chie Koishikawa brings a cheerful flair and an unpredictable amount of fury. She is called “Too Much Energy” for a reason! This Frantic Fencer's backhand fencing chops have brought low monsters and demons alike! Hagane Shinno brings a cold, calculated destruction that will remind you of the ravages of winter. Silent, beautiful, uncaring. Simply a force of nature! (He's canonically beautiful by the way, Emi introduced him once as such) His relentless ferocity has yet to find an equal in Ichigaya. The opposing energies balance one another out to a degree that has shown a bit of each's personality beginning to change the other! They were named after an incident where a drunken Chie stole a certain pastry from Hagane, by the way.
Right there! The Best Bros have their most difficult challenge yet! It makes sense that the danger levels will increase until the weight of those belts is simply too much...Baliyan Akki, the Zephyr of Ichigaya and Ace of the Promotion, is as talented as they come. With breezy strike combos, effortless high flying, flowing submissions, and a mane of wild hair, Akki makes a great first impression on every new viewer. What heights will this technical master reach? There is no ceiling in sight! His partner, “Big Apple” Mei Suruga, loves her tag belts almost as much as she loves snacks! She might think she is a Giant Slayer, but it isn't just Giants she is facing this time! A trick pin specialist, submission expert, and all around goblin, Mei seems to have skill and experience well beyond the years she has spent in pro-wrestling so far. Will they be able to pull this one off together?
The Drunken Monkey, Masa Takanashi, is the main Pillar of Gatoh Move...and is now running the show in ChocoPro (until Emi Sakura returns)! Much like Mei Suruga (and Kenny Omega) his reactions and characteristics are all heightened to an almost cartoonish level, which makes him incredibly entertaining to watch...even more so when you realize how technically sound he is! This DDT veteran has comedy chops as well as a fluid, unique counter style that will remind you of the swaying of a Drunken Master. If you missed Masa Takanashi's IN RING Produce Show earlier, check it out through this link! None of Masa's matches are ever the same! He will be rejoined by the representative of Argentina, Hoshitango! This living golem of a man loves Sumo, and while he might be retired now, that power still shows in his dominant style. Tango's size is definitely a major advantage in the Chocolate Square, as the usual goblins that live there cannot bring the giant down most of the time. (As Mei found out the hard way over and over!) His dynamic pushes are always a crowd pleaser. Hoshitango's size is really a game changer!
