This is a long Reddit post, so you'd be forgiven for not reading it, but the long and short of it is that Neopets (which is apparently somehow still extant) announced a team-up with some shady fly-by-night company to sell NFTs using art from a fan-made dress-up image generator, and their community (which is apparently somehow still extant) has been actively kicking them in the face over it and arguing with crypto weirdos every day since.

I haven't thought about it in forever, but when I was a kid S&H Greenstamps were still a thing.
