I get that this is supposed to refer to the Duke, but I'm choosing to believe instead that all the heroes abandoned whatever armies they belonged to, and followed a mantis into battle.

Cats for instance have extremely low myostatin levels, hence how big cats can stay immensely strong despite sleeping for 16-20 hours a day.
