Even with tape it's a huge pain in the rear end. I gave up partway through trying to apply ambush plaid to a Tiger and just painted the thing dunkelgelb.

Most annoying thing being that it larger than Inquisitor-size, so it's not even worth converting for a soft-sci-fi style of game - no one else is at all likely to have similar sized figures.

I mean, 1/35th diorama miniatures aren't meant to be used in games, but 1/35 and 54mm are the exact same scale. If you really want to have the goofy robot cupping Tyrus's butt, you can do it.
