Like half of the problem was that it took almost a half to figure out how to get the snap off without a false start. Geez, you'd think a team that likes to have the reputation of having a super loud stadium would have it on their radar to figure out how to play in someone else's loud stadium, but here we are.

Seeing Penn state fans complaining about Iowa fans is delightful. Specifically the part where they complain about “that’s the type of men this program is building” when referring to the one Iowa coach “flopping.” Ahem, maybe Penn State folks shouldn’t raise such a big stink about institutional control problems.

Someone ran the numbers and Iowa was averaging like 3 yards per play overall but over 14 yards per play on plays immediately before Penn State took an injury timeout, which is weird! Also, I mean... https://twitter.com/Quinn_Douglas_/status/1447379202181935106?t=v-raYXkQCAclpSmhmsrQXw&s=19 The guy making fun of Clifford is obviously a jerk but it was also one random drunk rear end in a top hat who happened to get caught on camera. A thing happened once or twice and now whenever an opposing team's player gets injured it's because of that. Fans aren't very clever. It does still happen now and then but not that often

Well that feels like ignoring what I posted! Fans didn't know the exact yards per play but they can see that it happened a bunch of times after Iowa had gained 10+ yards and only seemed to be happening then, it's a big difference from what our offense normally does. Again I don't know why Penn State would do that against Iowa of all teams maybe they're doing it against faster teams and just kept doing to anyway out of habit or maybe it's just coincidence. I would not have booed personally because I don't really want to boo an actual injured kid and it's not like it was really hurting what Iowa wants to do. And obviously some of the injuries were real and costly for PSU. But it's still hard not to notice when so many if them were the "lay down until you get to the timeout then jump up, run to the sideline, and come back a play later" variety and when all of those happened right after a big play. downout posted:Doesn't that point to, that they didn't have that option? Going into the year without an idea for "what happens when it's too loud to hear clapping" when you play at Camp Randall, Kinnick, and Ohio Stadium seems like a bad idea. This might have been the loudest I have heard kinnick but it's not exactly shocking that it would get very loud and rowdy there. Yes, it choose to live in the timeline where Ferentz just slipped another stick of gum into his mouth and said to himself "All according to keikaku."
