The steal is sick. Exactly what you want from your players taking on that 10% chance of keeping a ball in and turning it into a chance, a lot of players wouldn't have even tried for that. The celebrations were a bit OTT but to be fair I don't know the context of the game and how important winning that game was, after all it is Canada who are at best on par with a team like Panama so not like they don't deserve to celebrate scoring.

They're 3rd in the final round of the CONCACAF qualifiers, the final straight qualifying spot. Panama are 4th, 2 points behind them, and would have to go through an inter-confederation playoff if things stay that way.

Canada hasn't made the World Cup since 1986, their only appearance. Canada hadn't even made the final stage of World Cup Qualifying in over 20 years. Canada is currently ranked #51 in FIFA, and were as low as #114 a few years ago. Basically, Canada is North American Scotland and are playing out of their goddamn minds. (Undefeated through 6 WCQ games, only other team in the group who can claim the same is Mexico, who I think is a FIFA top 10 team?)
