I'm currently in a war from both sides, and reinforced my secondary fleet. 7 cruisers, 8 corvettes, 4 destroyers queued up. spent all my alloys making those. it's like a year later and...there's nothing. the shipyards finished ages ago, but the ships are nowhere to be found. is this a known bug? they never joined with the fleet they were designated for, and I don't see any indication of them being en route to it either. kinda important since there's a fleet twice the size of it heading its way... edit: oh okay, it's just taking ABSOLUTELY FOREVER for the reinforcements to arrive through subspace or whatever, kinda wish it indicated they were en route though. Yeah I'm suspecting that they at some point changed the code so fleet reinforcement causes all the new ships to use ftl to get to their fleets. Hence the crazy ETAs and them not showingon the map. Better for now to just manually queue a bunch of reinforcement ships as needed, manually merge them where needed, and write the fleet manager off entirely unless you're refitting.

But why oh why to they refuse to use any warp line transit, and insist on FTL or gateway only? That.. shouldn't be hard to fix in code. Or if it is it means that code is _badly_ spagettified.

Splicer posted:There was a bug where reinforcements in transit would reappear and split off into millions of tiny one ship fleets if the fleet they were reinforcing got into combat. They applied a fix for it last patch but I'm guessing Something Went Wrong and now they're looping halfway around the galaxy or something. Could also be related to fixing the exploit where having one fast ship makes the whole fleet go faster, if that makes the reinforce mechanic think the ships have no engines or something.

Found out today that if you are at war with someone, and then they are declared the galactic crisis and the whole galactic community starts a new war with them, your fleets get kicked out of their space and into emergency ftl. That was unpleasant.
