Dammit. Had an unlocked 512 stormy black in my cart and it actually didn't error out when I hit "checkout," but the page didn't load I think because of my ad-blocker. Refreshed and it ganked my device because out of stock.

Honestly I can't decide if I really need 256gb. I've survived with 64gb (occasionally running low on vacations with lots of pictures/videos). Maybe I'll take lots of 4k videos though? I don't tend to download lots of media, but I do intend to be taking lots of pictures and videos. I know everyone's use case is different, but does anyone have any thoughts on storage with a newer phone?

Was able to order through Fi with no issues. Should have just started there. Tried to get the Pixel Pass, but it said my account wasn't eligible, I guess because I have YouTube Premium / Google One? I dunno. Guess I'll figure that out later.

Same reason I got the 128 2 XL, and I would have exceeded the smaller 64gb long ago. Pretty sure I could be fine with 256, but I don't want to be forced to buy a new phone due to storage in 5 years.

I managed to get a launch day Pixel 5 that way, without having to refresh a website at 2am. They periodically added them. IDK if that's still going to be the case with GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN DISRUPTIONS but we'll see.
