CHOCOPRO #166: YOU LIKE CHIE? WELL HOW ABOUT YOU CHOKE ON HER THIS WEEKEND PART 1 FEATURING AN ALL DUDES TAG WITH BRAND NEW MATCH UPS!
WATCH LIVE ON YOUTUBE HERE
Time: 10am (JST) / 2am (BST) / 6pm (PDT) / 9pm (EDT)

Below is Super Fan Dogglesnake's match guide for tonight from Reddit. Found HERE

Ace & Icon against Cold Brews!?

Sawasdee Kamen & Baliyan Akki VS Masahiro Takanashi & Hagane Shinno

As Hagane said on Twitter, a tag match entirely made up of men is rare in ChocoPro! We'll be kicking off the evening building to two big matches: the upcoming defense of the Best Bros tag belts against EGG TART and the four way number one contender's match!

Sawasdee Kamen & Baliyan Akki have yet to team up in ChocoPro's history, which seems impossible! The Icon of Gatoh Move and the Ace of ChocoPro are similar in a lot of ways: quite talented, very smooth at transitions, and most people are surprised to find out they don't really like Mei Suruga. (The definitely not a goblin isn't in either of the matches tonight!) These two tend to mesh well whenever they're put into random tag teams, so we might actually see some very easy coordination and team attacks. The Mysterious Hero (with Lucha skills and technical wizardry) and the Zephyr of Ichigaya (with high flying and combo striking) will definitely deliver! However, they're up against an equally strong team...

Masa Takanashi & Hagane Shinno
seems like an overpowered duo! Interestingly enough, these two haven't paired up very often at all (let alone in ChocoPro!) so this will be a feeling out process for both teams. “Drunken Monkey” Masa Takanashi is a defensive counter style fighter, employing a swaying stance and the rule bending ways of a scoundrel. “Cold Killer” Hagane Shinno is a remorseless pure offense striker that brutalizes his opponents efficiently. Both of these two have championships in their sights, so they will need to begin to build momentum with a victory here! Expect this one to be a barn burner.

Chie's Quest: Tropical Storm!

Yuna Mizumori VS Chie Koishikawa

What happens when unstoppable (tropical) force meets endless energy? A chaotic clash that will definitely be fun to watch!

Papaya, Mango, Coconuts! Yuna Mizumori has had to face challenge after challenge to defend her rite to a Super Asia Championship match, something she was meant to have last season! Now that Minoru Fujita has been discharged from the hospital, things are getting more and more volatile among those that wish to face him. The Tropical Fairy is a powerhouse unlike anyone you've seen before: flashy, musical, and explosively nimble! Yuna brings the same feeling as the Ultimate Warrior (only without the negatives) while making her mark in ways that only she can. With a deep move set of power techniques and a knack for entertaining (she is a real idol, after all!) Yunamon is hard to take your eyes off of. Chie seeks to prove herself worthy of battling the tag champs, but Yuna is on the road of the challenger herself...and isn't about to stop! Can't stop the Tropical Yahho! (I hope we get to see one of those killer lariats again...)

Opposing goals make the best storylines! “Too Much Energy” Chie Koishikawa is in this to prepare for her battle with the Best Bros, seeking to take out the only member of the “big three” that isn't in the champion team! This task seems quite daunting, but that is Chie's bread and butter: facing impossible odds. The cheerful alternative striker has been slowly succumbing to whatever darkness hides behind her vibrant smile and happy attitude (though most trained by the Oni tend to have some hidden mean streak!) and it comes out more and more each episode. Whether it be when she goes emotionless to deliver a backhanded knuckle chop to a prone foe or when she screams out in agony from a loss...there is a sinister twist coming for the Frantic Fencer! What cost does she pay for that Endless Energy? Struggles and hard times are the best seasoning for rising stars...and Chie is most certainly that. Both of these wrestlers have devastating striking and submissions, this should be an ungodly bout!

This could be the most one-sided fight since 1973 when Ali faced an eighty-foot tall mechanical Joe Frazier. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I think the entire Earth was destroyed.

Kickass, that match should whip. I know yunamon’s been in a bunch of different promotions, but has Otoki done much work outside of gatoh move yet?

Today (10/24 JST) is kind of a Wild One for the Choco Crew especially Mei

At 10 A.M. JST, We have the Mei Gauntlet episode of the ChocoPro where Mei is part of a Best Bros tag against Masa and Choun and then main events against Chie.

Sometime after 12 A.M. Mei is at Shinjuku FACE as part of a Oz Academy aligned self-produce show celebrating Akino's birthday tagging with Momoka Hanazono in a handicap match against Sonoko Kato

Meanwhile, Sayaka and Yunamon are wrestling a Gatoh Move offer match at Shinkiba 1st RING for Ganbare Pro's latest Joshi wrestling show which you can watch live here on Wrestle Universe: https://www.wrestle-universe.com/en/lives/a8LPX8TWCouoQxH5tCdR6z

Following the women's show, Ganbare will start its G1 tournament with Yumehito Imanari vs Bariyan Akki. You can watch it live on Wrestle Universe here: https://www.wrestle-universe.com/en/lives/cXeGwWSyfAMhJ8p8KpyFkJ

CHOCOPRO #168: IT'S ALL BEEN LEADING UP TO THIS: EGG TARTS VS. BEST BROS 3 (AN HOUR BEFORE RAMPAGE)

Time: 10am (JST) / 2am (BST) / 6pm (PDT) / 9pm (EDT)

ASIA DREAM TAG CHAMPIONSHIP

Champions: Best Bros (Mei Suruga & Baliyan Akki) VS Challengers: Egg Tart (Chie Koishikawa & Hagane Shinno)

Could this Tenth Defense finally be the last of of the Best Bros (Mei Suruga & Baliyan Akki) phenomenal reign? (As of this writing, one of the defenses on Cagematch isn't labeled as such, the recent three way!) “Genius” Mei Suruga & the Zephyr of Ichigaya, Baliyan Akki, have faced their share of trials and tribulations...and have come out stronger for it. With Mei & Akki appearing across various promotions on the Japanese Independent scene, these two continue to grow in prominence and experience. But the road has not been without struggles, and a familiar mountain has risen before them. Can the seemingly always synchronized duo continue to hold on to their beloved belts while managing all the goings on outside Ichigaya? “Big Apple” Mei Suruga, loves her tag belts almost as much as she loves snacks! She is a Giant Slayer, but it isn't Giants she is facing this time! (It is a swordsman and an assassin.) A trick pin specialist, submission expert, and all around goblin (having fully embraced it in her match against Chie), Mei has skill and experience well beyond the years she has spent in pro-wrestling so far. Mei might be a bit rotten, but she is honestly one of the best young talents out there right now (and doesn't get as much credit as she deserves...speaking of which:)! Baliyan Akki, the Ace of the Promotion, has been making us proud for 168+ episodes (its complicated, there are more episodes than there are numbered ones...). With flowing & breezy strike combos, effortless (and intensely impactful) high flying, silky smooth submissions, and a mane of wild untameable hair, Akki makes a great first impression on every new viewer. What heights will this technical master reach? There is no mountain too big for Akki to cross! One big thing that the Best Bros have always relied on is the favor of the audience, but just like before their opponents bring with them a similar level of fan support...which has grown wildly since their first attempt! Is the tide turning against the Champs, or can they prove they still deserve to be your Asia Dream Tag Champions? We're gonna find out...Right there!

Egg Tart (Chie Koishikawa & Hagane Shinno) return to face the Champs! EGG TART is the best kind of mystery. How do they work together so well? The fan favorite polar opposite team has a bizarre but perfect chemistry that can't be put into words. Chie Koishikawa is a Frantic Fencer! She brings a cheerful flair and an unpredictable amount of fury (That sometimes brings with it a haunting aura we don't yet understand...). She is called “Too Much Energy” for a reason! Her backhand fencing chops have brought low monsters and demons alike! She has been suffering for a long time, through tough losses and struggles that would break a normal person. But you know what they say about hard times! Hagane Shinno is a Cold Killer. His attacks are deadly enough to even frighten Emi Sakura, the Oni herself! He brings an emotionless, calculated destruction that will remind you of the ravages of winter. Silent, beautiful, uncaring (except for how much he cares for Chie!). Simply a force of nature! (He's canonically beautiful by the way, Emi introduced him once as such) His relentless ferocity has yet to find an equal in Ichigaya. It should be noted that Akki has tried (and failed) to take Hagane Shinno down twice in singles action...and the Cold Killer even brought Minoru Fujita to a Draw! Egg Tart is a Team of Hot & Cold energies, and the opposing energies balance one another out to a degree that has shown a bit of each's personality changing the other! Can they find the perfect balance...and do the impossible? They were named after an incident where a drunken Chie stole a certain pastry from Hagane, by the way.

Will the Best Bros maintain their hold on the Asia Dream, or will EGG TART take the throne? Let's enjoy Chocolate Wrestling together!
