The China ones are pretty cheap and probably good enough for miniature use. If you're using microscopes you're painting detail that can only be appreciated if you give those scopes to your audience as well. Or you can paint just 90mm miniatures like they do. Honestly the execution of that kind of freehand isn't that difficult if you have a steady hand and a good eye. It's essentially copying a design with basic art techniques. It's far more difficult trying to conceptualize the design in the first place if you don't have a handy piece of reference art to plagiarize.

Get a set of full waldo microsurgery manipulators and paint using a single fine hair as your brush. It might cost you a few million, but you'll really appreciate the micron range detail.
