anyone remember frances ha? what the gently caress was up with that movie it was so insane the main conflict is that an untalented girl living in some of the most expensive real estate on earth wants to be a dancer, despite never practicing dance and the actress being bad at it, and the stakes are that if she fails she'll... have nothing happen to her, really, she's completely provided for. she succeeds despite not taking any active efforts to succeed. it got such good reviews

Warner Brothers is presumably going to try to continue Dunc because it has the potential to be a huge franchise making money outside of just film. You've got different factions for merchandise, a decent amount of material to draw from, and a distinct setting. They can sell Spacing Guild mugs and Sardaukar workout clothes. We could get an Arrakis Theme Park in Florida. The sky's the limit, and since Herbert is dead he won't ruin the brand by pushing TERF poo poo on twitter. If Herbert was alive he definitely would be saying weird poo poo on twitter about gay people and the migration crisis. The latter would probably be some wild stuff about how people from the mid east and africa are taking over europe and that is probably good for humanity's survival in the long run. only time i ever saw man of steel was in a bus ride where they had edited the movie to remove all the violent scenes. literally all of them, it was completely incomprehensible they showed a number of movies this way, each more violent and therefore more nonsensical than the last.
