Question about The Alien Containment Module; I found and hatched a Crabsquid egg, how big is my four-eyed octopus going to get inside a three-story aquarium? Anywhere close to full-grown size, or will they just stay a mini-size pet?

You should become a fisherman like I have, and hunt them for sport when they cross your path! :black101:.

Prawnsuit, grapple arm to latch onto them, Drill arm to shove into them while they flail about in panic as you turn them into sushi.

All of your fish are going to stay pretty small. I believe they don't grow past whatever size they hatch at. Aquarium height only dictates how many critters you can have, not how big they can be.

You can also use the stasis rifle. Just keep refreshing the stasis bubble and keep stabbing it until it's dead. It does take a while.

In OG, and afaik for BZ, nothing shark-size or larger respawns. The leviathans you get when going out-of-bounds are kind of an exception, but it's less "re"-spawning and more "just keep spawning".

If there's something harassing your base, feel free to off it. Not only do you finally get piece and quiet, there's also murderous satisfaction! Bloody porpoises...

I felt extremely happy after repeatedly stabbing the Gastropod that kept farting and laughing right outside my base.

In unmodded OG the leviathans, at least underground ones, respawn after a couple hours in my experience. I killed them enough times to know. In BZ no, they do not respawn. If you kill things like annoying gastropods that are nearby you may or may not get new ones after a while but they'll be somewhere else.

I had already got the #2 depth module for the Prawn and was farting around near the Aurora farming titanium. The Reaper that hangs around the rear end end managed to slither over about six inches depth water, nab my rear end, and pound me into the terrain so hard I started falling through the map.

As serendipity would have it, I landed not far from the final alien base, and had a few beacons on me. So even though I wasn't carrying a blue tablet, I dropped a few beacons on the way back to map that annoying route. It all worked out.

Two default punch-arms leaves you lacking in mobility and utility, but it does beast mode damage if your target is staying close enough to repeatedly clobber them.

I thoroughly de-bone-sharked the deep grand reef thermal vent area and it was very quick. I would live and let live, but they wouldn't let me live and let live so that meant war.

It's worth equipping a grappling arm and losing some DPS for basically any other big enemy. Being able to glue yourself to your target and do wrestling moves on them while they try to flee is the ultimate payback for that one time they broke your Seamoth in the early game. The PDA wasn't joking when it said:

"It is normal when first piloting a Prawn suit to feel a sense of limitless power.
Prawn operators receive weeks of training to counteract this phenomenon.
You will have to make do with self-discipline."

The grappling arm is well worth your time for Spider-Man'ing around and vertical traversal. Especially with the really DEEP passages that you can't jumpjet out of in one go (you can just hang off the wall and let your jets recharge).

Definitely. In particular, if you're using the prawn without a Cyclops/Sea Truck as a base of operations it makes traversal a lot faster once you get the hang of using it. When you get to what you want to mine, hop out and replace one of the grapple arms with the drill.
