SNATTER'S ALIVE?!?!
It might be an interesting transition for Mei, unless AEW really does have something planned for the Killer Queens. She's going from being a big fish in a niche YouTube-stream-sized pond to one where there are, like, twenty other women jockeying for camera time and there aren't many slots available each week.

Emi is going about things the right way, if it is indeed every-woman-for-herself around there to an extent; she's working on generating and keeping a buzz via social media, getting Lulu in good with and doing skits with notable people there, and building a mini-storyline on YouTube so that Elevation matches aren't all fans get to see of them. AEW doesn't seem to have the "you got over without permission, you're on my poo poo list" attitude that McMahon often has about unauthorized buzz, which is good... but it's still an uphill hike.

The secret to getting over is landing a segment on the Sammy vlog. Think about how over that cm punk jobber is just because of the suggestion he might get to be on the vlog in the future.

AEW is the get yourself over company. If BTE doesn't exist it doesn't exist. The only informal rule seems to be is that you shouldn't waste other people's time by trying to get over.

Emi has enough pull with people like Excalibur, Kenny Omega, Chris Harrington, Shida and Riho that she can write her own storyline for Elevation. Which given that everyone says you have to bring your own ideas and pitches if you want storylines in AEW isn't exactly going out of bounds.

It certainly helps that she edits her own videos, brings in her own talent, doesn't need to win, doesn't need t.v time, and doesn't take up any other significant resource that might be scarce in AEW.

Mei has the advantage that she's good at self promotion, does language neutral character comedy, and is good enough in the ring that her stuff speaks for itself. A few tags as Emi's protégé, a few Lulu interactions, and the Killer Queens are ready for prime time.

And like I said, they're well on their way. Lulu is absolutely the ace-in-the-hole for that; if you'd told me three months ago that she'd be prominently featured in a BTE skit, be on video being hugged by Punk, make the PWI 500, have signs about her popping up in Dynamite audiences and have commentators talking about her during Emi matches, all without her name or face ever appearing on Dynamite or Rampage, I would've said you were nuts. But here we are.

Mei has so much going for her (bubbly personality, youth, raw wrestling talent, cuteness, enough English to not need an interpreter, familiarity from joshi/Choco fans, walking straight into an in-progress storyline of sorts) that she'll fit right into this like a glove.

Three Returns & Too Much Energy!

Sayaka Obihiro & Chie Koishikawa VS Kaori Yoneyama & Kappa Kozo

Finally, Sayaka Obihiro is back in action! While we got a little taste in the Mystery Halloween Rumble (Check it out if you missed it, the Halloween Special was awesome) it will be very good to have her back in regular bouts. That being said, what do you get when you give the mischievous Veteran Obi a partner with Too Much Energy? A striking duo unlike any other! Chie Koishikawa is almost always cheery (except after a big loss, stirring the hearts of fans!), but even more so along side her Hero, Mentor and Pillar of Gatoh Move, Obi. The Blue Flame & Frantic Fencer always leave a mark on their foes, and this bout will be no different. It should be a fun mix of the unique fencing chops of the girl that loves to say Hello!, and the almost magic pinning style of Sprint Obi. How will Chie's progress into counters and Muffler Variants come into play? Are we gonna see some of Obi's devastating chops, second only to the Oni herself? This is one of the most charismatic combo's that ChocoPro can field and it is always nice to see Chie get to fight along side her hero. What new strategies has Obi cooked up while she was away from the Square? Chie will be itching for another shot at Yoneyama...and Ebisco Sakaba's certified chef Obi might just have a bigger fish to fry! (Editor's Note: a Kappa is not technically a fish)

They'll be taking on the consistently busy Kaori Yoneyama! Between appearing as a surly clown for STARDOM (at least according to AZM), running her own Promotion (YMZ), and kicking rear end at Oz Academy, PURE-J, and more! (all promotions you should check out!), she has a lot on her plate! There is a sort of madness to Yoneyama's style of wrestling when it comes to ChocoPro. For instance, the audience sometimes finds themselves used as a weapon (with Kaori grabbing the camera for some PoV beatings)! Yoneyama is a intensely gifted wrestler...and an even greater bamboozler! Did you know she fought Kenny Omega in Gatoh Move? Meanwhile her partner, Kappa Kozo, is a monster (This is a very big brain pairing to be honest)...and a myth of the wrestling scene! Having made appearances for IWA Japan long ago, Kozo will finally made his mark in the Chocolate Square recently against Masa Takanashi, re-kindling his feud with Obi. His fighting style is feral and heavily character focused, making him a delight to watch in the Square (where characters are amplified even more due to the setup!) While this Yokai might have a few championships on his record, the charismatic team might just be able to chase this evil spirit away...

INTERIM SUPER ASIA CHAMPIONSHIP FOUR WAY

Baliyan Akki VS Masa Takanashi VS Yuna Mizumori VS Choun Shiryu

Minoru Fujita, the Super Asia Champion of ChocoPro, is still recovering from his recent Hospitalization. While we wish him well (and also miss him very much), ChocoPro will be choosing an Interim Champ in order to fill the void while Fujita is away. For anyone unfamiliar with this system, the temporary Champ will defend as if the real one, until the time where Fujita can challenge the Interim to decide the real active Champion. But who are those strong enough (or bold enough) to fight for this prestige in the Chocolate Square?

Baliyan Akki is the Zephyr of Ichigaya. This breezy combo striker sets the bar for quality in ChocoPro's high speed matches! While he's been busy appearing for DDT, AJPW, & GanPro (Akki is a rare talent, keep an eye on him), Akki has also been dominant in his run as Asia Dream Tag Champ. Now he must return to his role as the Ace of ChocoPro...especially because his tag partner has run off to America! (Good luck in AEW, Mei Suruga!) Despite this, the Winds of Change are usually on his side! Akki's toolkit available is immense and constantly expanding (keep in mind also that he is a near perfect all-arounder)! He has a fantastic level of technical skill, a surprising mastery of high flying, and an overwhelming elite presence! Akki is among the top of the promotion for good reason! This belt was his destiny...one that was taken away from him. Is it time to finally rewrite fate?

The Drunken Monkey, Masahiro Takanashi, is in the fray! One half of Calamari Drunken Kings (with Chris Brookes), Masa re-established himself in Ichigaya and has even resumed his role as the President of Gatoh Move...given the state of general affairs in ChocoPro, this is not an enviable position! This wild brawler with a fascinating unique style that includes fighting game-esque fancy footwork (and a deep appetite for alcohol) is one of the most exciting combatants to watch! The Counter-Fighter is able to stop even the most trustworthy of signature moves, so the other competitors will have a hard time keeping up. Masa thrives in these sort of matches! As Emi Sakura's stand in within Ichigaya, it is his duty to be the pinnacle of the promotion. Can he secure the Super Asia Championship to cement his status?

Papaya, Mango, Coconuts! Yuna Mizumori has had to face challenge after challenge to defend her rite to a Super Asia Championship match, something she was meant to have last season! Now that Minoru Fujita has been discharged from the hospital, things are getting more and more volatile among those that wish to be his stand in...and eventually face him! The Tropical Fairy is a powerhouse unlike anyone you've seen before: flashy, musical, and explosively nimble! Yuna brings the same feeling as the Ultimate Warrior (only without the negatives) while making her mark in ways that only she can. With a deep move set of power techniques and a knack for entertaining (she is a real idol, after all!) Yunamon is hard to take your eyes off of. Yuna has the most valid claim to the Super Asia Championship, as she was meant to be the next challenger after Hagane Shinno. Will she be able to take out this collection of powerful foes and show why she is truly on a meteoric rise to the top? Can't stop the Tropical Yahho!

Choun Shiryu
is the Dragon of Ichigaya. He brings with him an dynamic intensity and unbound creativity that few possess. When he isn't showing off his in ring (and in square) IQ (by pulling off window assisted jackknife pins and coffin drops on to tables & chairs!), his lighter-than-air movements and brutal alternative strikes are a positively flashy affair. Choun's Kung Fu inspired move set makes all of his matches must watch, because it is nothing like you've seen before. He makes every match look like a fight scene from a Jackie Chan movie (his idol!) with his expertise in motion and punishment. Since last season, Choun has been nearly unstoppable! The Dragon now hunts the biggest game: the Super Asia Championship! But in order to claim it (and someday hopefully) battle Fujita, he will have to take out three other strong competitors! Can the Kung Fu Specialist pull off another flashy victory? The battle ahead is a grim one. As Choun would say, So what?! Remember...Don't think. Feel!

Multiple references to Sammy Guevara (I'm not sure the exact context)

Mei is going by the name "Dark Princess" in AEW (this makes Emi and Lulu laugh)

People thought Mei was Emi's daughter.

Make up artist Jen and seamstress Sandra (of course) have formed a bond with Emi.

Lulu is being produced for her matches (no name given but a man and very kind)

They don't really have money and are basically living off catering while traveling (which adds to my speculation that whole trip is being funded by whatever AEW is paying Emi)

Choco awareness is still growing after 3 months

They wouldn't be able to maintain momentum and reach their goals if they were flying back and forth from Japan for a few matches so they're in AEW for the long haul.

They love chanting Tay Conti's name

Shuffle Tag! No-Name returns

Chie Koishikawa & Baliyan Akki VS Sayaka Obihiro & Masa Takanashi

Chie Koishikawa & Baliyan Akki together again! While this team has been called a few things in the distant past (A&C's Greetings, No-Name, the latest seems to be A B Curry...probably a play on Shrimp Curry by Chie) they are definitely a deadly duo! Chie is the Frantic Fencer of ChocoPro. She's got way Too Much Energy, her own variant knuckle chops, and several high-octane twists on fundamental wrestling skills! My personal favorite is that tight roll (sometimes a slam) into an even tighter Stretch Muffler! Chie is an underrated tag specialist, being able to work well with anyone she is placed along side...providing agility, raw energy, and lots of moral support! Akki on the other hand will be recovering from his losses...both the loss of his usual tag partner and his shot at being the Interim champ. Despite this setback, Akki is an incredible technician! The Zephyr of Ichigaya is the Ace with good reason! His silky smooth combo strikes and wrestling wizardry is both a blast from the past and a glimpse of the future of pro-wrestling. These two have loads of potential, even if they can't decide on a team name!

It is always a treat to get to write about a first time pairing...Sayaka Obihiro is teaming up with Masa Takanashi in ChocoPro! While both have been around since this version of Gatoh Move started, injuries & chef work prevented them from teaming up until this moment. Obi is a charismatic trickster, able to do flashy pinning techniques that seem like magic. Her chops are on the same level as her mentor and teacher, the Oni Emi Sakura! She brings with her a raw joy that is very engaging, and it helps that her move set is so flashy...not to mention that fiery gear! Masa on the other hand is nearly as impish, a counter-fighter with a knack for annoying his opponents. The Drunken Monkey's style is very technical and crisp, but he isn't afraid to work the nose! Don't be fooled by his aloof nature and swaying movements...Masa is a real threat. Between Masa's hijinks and Obi's personality, this combination is gonna be a thrill ride. Both of these veterans could make great Super Asia challengers, as well...

SUPER ASIA CHAMPIONSHIP

Choun Shiryu (c) VS Yuna Mizumori

Tonight's Main Event is a challenge for the Interim Super Asia Championship (Which will be generally referenced to as the regular one to avoid confusion and excess words)! Can Choun Shiryu stop the Tropical Yahho? Will Yuna win the match she has deserved for over a season? Every title match in ChocoPro is must see, this will be no different!

Choun Shiryu is the Dragon of Ichigaya...and the Super Asia Champion! Whether he is flying across Ichigaya, hanging upside down and choking people, or fighting with a staff at GanJo...Choun is awesome! He brings with him an dynamic intensity and unbound creativity that few possess. His lighter-than-air movements and brutal alternative strikes are fantastic. Choun's Kung Fu inspired move set makes all of his matches must watch, because it is nothing like you've seen before. He makes every match look like a fight scene from a Jackie Chan movie (his idol!) with his expertise in motion and punishment. While Choun may have won the four way to decide the Interim Champion, he could not defeat Yuna in the Number One Contender's match that caused that very bout. He has unfinished business to attend to, a rightful challenger who is long overdue. Choun Shiryu's ridiculous level of talent and style managed to sway some of the ChocoPro faithful to his side, but Yuna Mizumori might actually be one of the few contenders with more fan support! As Choun would say, So what?! Remember...Don't think. Feel!

Yuna Mizumori is finally getting her one on one title shot! While this isn't as meaningful since it isn't against her Rotten Yahhos partner in Fujita, she still seeks that battle on the horizon when he returns. The Tropical Fairy is a powerhouse unlike anyone you've seen before: flashy, musical, and explosively nimble! This Sing-Song Lariat Machine brings an unmatched passion and general aura while making her mark in ways that only she can. With a deep move set of power techniques and a knack for entertaining (she is a real idol, after all!) Yunamon is hard to take your eyes off of. While Yuna is basically unrivaled in Ichigaya when it comes to power, Choun Shiryu has skill in deflection and a unique flair to his technical prowess that is best suited for this situation. Yuna will need to utilize her growing knowledge and experience to take on this veteran! Remember, no one in ChocoPro has kicked out of the Musya-Gaeshi...Can she fulfill her destiny, or has the delay caused her momentum to lessen? No matter what happens, we're proud of Yunamon! Papaya! Mango! Coconuts! Can't stop the Tropical Yahho!

The Era of the Dragon continues, but a Tropical Storm has arrived...
