Of course not, Patroclus and Achilles were just really good friends.

Maybe I should have quoted the post I was referring to for the sake of clarity but it's funnier if I didn't really.

Rye has gluten so I can't eat it. And I despise coleslaw.

Wow that is not what I thought it meant at all. I thought it was short for "non-traditional relationship" aka polyamory.

Is tvtropes still full of obsessively creepy content editors and tropes made up whole cloth to list people's fetishes?

Edit.
Looking at the article linked: yes, yes they do.

just learned that the director of cross ange was also an animation director on a few episodes of that buzz lightyear cartoon and worked on some winnie the pooh movies:stare:
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=5852

any other unexpected anime directors/animators working on western animation that isn't related to gainax or trigger? i know back in the 80's and 90's some japanese animation studios such as sunrise and tms contributed animation to shows like batman and robin and inspector gadget - i'm just surprised to see the director of cross ange attached to those properties

Does Mook even make anime or do they just do animation for American productions?

They seem to mainly do animation for American productions - the only show I could find that seemed aimed at the Japanese market is a show called Rocket Girls and an OVA for Triangle Heart, which is what Nanohana was spunoff from

as someone who has done a lot of MUSHing due to being deeply socially maladjusted, tvtropes was terrible because they caused a lot of people to just string five tropes together and go 'this is my character's personality' without any further consideration

And it just breaks my heart all over again. What an amazing movie.

You see extremely shallow readings based on surface level patterns all over the place. Tvtropes is a great example of the phenomenon but I don't think it can be blamed for it, that kind of take naturally arises wherever someone isn't very media literate

Dunno if they ever made a Blu-Ray, but it'd totally hold up.
The mix of architectures and the depiction of life in the city is still top tier.
