just learned that the director of cross ange was also an animation director on a few episodes of that buzz lightyear cartoon and worked on some winnie the pooh movies https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=5852 any other unexpected anime directors/animators working on western animation that isn't related to gainax or trigger? i know back in the 80's and 90's some japanese animation studios such as sunrise and tms contributed animation to shows like batman and robin and inspector gadget - i'm just surprised to see the director of cross ange attached to those properties Willo567 fucked around with this message at 17:39 on Nov 1, 2021 |

as someone who has done a lot of MUSHing due to being deeply socially maladjusted, tvtropes was terrible because they caused a lot of people to just string five tropes together and go 'this is my character's personality' without any further consideration
