It's very AGC, but the second one definitely comes off as "She joined up to do good and found out that "Lawful" and "Good" are two seperate things". I know that we're SUPPOSED to side with the police, but... that definitely looks like a police officer beating someone on the ground with their nightstick in the background.

They also managed to package it in with "women are not qualified for tough jobs" rhetoric you see around the army and police, all presented in such a way to try and make her a pinup girl.

Pope: Scott Morrison is outlining Australia's climate action plan at COP26, which is to hope the boffins invent some new wonder tech so we can keep digging up fossil fuels. Rowe: The Melbourne Cup ("The Race That Stops The Nation") was yesterday, so there are a lot of horse race cartoons today. Knight: Warren Brown: Warren is very excited that the winning horse's trainer is based in Sydney. Downes: Tasmanian premier Peter Gutwein. Gutwein set a target that Tasmania would reach 80% vaccination by Cup day and they missed it: Tasmania misses 80pc vaccination target, but is still on track to reach 90pc before borders reopen (ABC) Wilcox: Golding: Macron explicitly pointed out when he called Morrison a liar that his problem was with Morrison not Australia but that didn't stop Morrison from spinning it as an insult on the nation. Shakespeare: "Sledging" means to insult, more specifically in cricket to taunt the batter put them off and make mistakes. Leak, Son of Leak:

Eh, I'll give it to him on this one, black bloc groups are not always kind toward people who bring cameras to events. But folks like him are definitely going to spin that as negatively as possible, using it as evidence that These People (you know the ones) are filthy subhumans and not the police who don't care about being filmed because they'll get off anyway.

This is Garrison, so I thought the smirking dude with the strong jaw committing violence on the defenseless scrawny weakling with sniveling posture was the good guy. Isn't that how he always draws it? His team's sculpted dudes beating up or threatening limp-wristed soyboys? His base is gonna get the wrong message from this one, even with the label.

It doesn't matter though since Garrison was correct that Youngkin is indeed going to destroy Virginia after he wins tonight.

fool of sound posted:The guy who inadvertently killed someone because, probably, of a different person's negligence is also a victim tbh. Yes. For example, the negligence of the producer who hired a bunch of inept scabs and had such a disastrously unsafe work environment that allowed the multiple failures that culminated in the tragedy should absolutely be prosecutable. Forget the poor sap who pulled the trigger, throw that rear end in a top hat in jail. The "joke" is that it's still Alec Baldwin.

It's saying that CRT isn't being taught in public schools, that's why the book is blank, and yes the message is that it's nothing to worry about because it doesn't exist. I also got it immediately but the again I'm in a state that just elected a Republican governor because right wing messaging about the CRT boogeyman worked (that's an oversimplification, but it was definitely a part of the beating McAuliffe took on education).Teriyaki Hairpiece posted:I'm dreading the Virginia toons. Same here. Get ready for a lot more "plucky parents standing up against the left's evil agenda of CRT" because right wing media is going to take this victory as a sign that it's a winning strategy.
