The mantra among these insane idiots is "this is what being in AEW does to people" despite the long documented history of former WWE stars talking about how burned out their schedule made them. If you look at the Cagematch career page of any AEW wrestler who's been in WWE for longer than a cup of coffee, scroll down to the bottom and read their matches-per-month stats. If they weren't booked in an all-lore and no-wrestling angle like Tommy End, WWE almost universally has had people wrestling double digit matches per month, every month for years, while AEW's schedule is typically under 10 per month and often under 5. "What being in AEW does to people" is give them lighter and more flexible schedules with requested time off and lower stress.

One of the really nice things I saw a number of AEW people just kind of mention off-hand after signing with AEW was,"Oh man I was able to buy a home, which was such a relief" and I can't even imagine how much of a stress relief it must be for people who were working their asses off on the indies to suddenly have not only that level of security but the confidence that this thing had legs and they could afford to make an investment like that. Like, that SHOULD be a given for a wrestler in any major wrestling promotion, ESPECIALLY WWE, so it's sad that this really stood out to me... but it did!

Kross was the most generic wrestler I’ve ever seen. It was literally all smoke and mirrors with that guy as seen when they removed all the entrance gimmickry everyone could see he was just Some Guy.

Renaissance Spam posted:Satin may be an idiot but did Kross do anything special in his ring work that veered outside WWE's style? No he loving sucked, but he was tall and jacked and his wife was a blonde model so you couldn’t possibly have put together a package Vince would want more if you tried. That’s the real mystery, they were absolutely a home run duo for the one guy who’s opinion even remotely mattered and they still got hosed up and shitcanned.
