New jeep verdict: piece of poo poo. The passenger sun visor falls off on gravel roads and I want to extend a special kick in the nuts to whomever is responsible for that transmission. 4Lo, manually held in first gear? Nah, it thinks you want an upshift instead of engine braking. Also I may have come close to lighting the brakes on fire on the highway.

So having just purchased another GK Honda Fit, I remembered I had a little souvenir from the last time I owned one, new in 2015.  Showed up at my door about a month after I bought the last one. It’s a light-up, pull-back keychain toy. I’m a simple man and this makes me smile.

Everyone in my section of rural white America loves wranglers they have poker runs just like the Harley crowd. But they keep them clean. My cummins always has more mud on it even though I don’t intentionally go off road and its wearing Michelin highway tires.

So I accidentally took my Corolla on a “4wd only” trail, twice. Had to actually go off the trail to go around a fallen tree too. Verdict: you don’t need a Wrangler 🤣 Pre-covid I installed a Fumoto(?) drain valve in the sump to make oil changes easier. Due to life changes I now can’t do oil changes at home so it’s been a useless addition. The 4WD trail proved no hassle but somehow driving around the campground looking for a spot I must have hit something that not only dislodged the plastic clip that stops the valve from opening, but also opened the valve! Fortunately I noticed fairly quickly and “only” dropped a litre or so of oil. What are the odds?! Then I started looking for sump guards and the only one for my car is in the UK and while it’s a reasonable price I ain’t paying shipping. It also got me looking at Suzuki Jimnys. I really like the new one and it would be a great daily driver while still being a slightly more capable camping vehicle than the ‘Rolla. When they launched here in 2018 they were $24k. Covid fuckery means they can’t be had for love and the money people want is up to $45k!!!! Crazy bullshit

Was quite interesting and of course googlemaps don't really show the incline or how lovely the road is.

I say tried because he had his kid try to toss it to me while we were sitting at a stoplight, he aimed high, and it bounced off the soft top into the gutter.

I just came out to the rest of my friends and family on Instagram, lol. My mom's side of the family loves Jesus a real lot so I'm curious as to how that's going to go. They are good people and we were close when I was younger but they kinda drifted away when my mom didn't find Jesus like they did. Probably call me an abomination but still be ok with me which is actually not ok with me to think that.
