If the gov't declares illegal the current practice of third-party companies engaging in labor-supply-only contracts with big companies to avoid regularization of employees, it will only increase our unemployment rate. Companies will just reduce the number of people they will hire with stringent requirements and qualifications in preparation for their being regular employees.

I understand the position of the left that the companies who profit from this practice should be the first ones who should be required to refrain from this practice. But they are forgetting that the primary objective of companies is to make money and to maximize it as much as the law will allow them to.

Even if you ask those employees who are under contractualization, they would rather have a job under said conditions, than be jobless. This is the sad reality of our economy. If the left is hoping that the private companies will have a heart and consider the plight of the helpless and poor employees, then they are wrong again. Businesses are for-profit activities and not a charity.

While I am not in favor of this situation, I don't see a short-term solution. What the gov't can do however is to invest and invigorate our manufacturing, export and industrial sectors to generate as much employment so the balance can tilt in favor labor.
