When Chapo did their Save Chasten bit I thought it was funny and an over the top exaggeration / satirical overreaction to his depressing interview. After watching these clips I feel like they are well short of the mark with their satire and the situation is far more dire and tragic than anyone could imagine. “Haha Pete strangles dogs for fun what a good joke.” At this point if I met Pete Butt at a DC wonk bar and he casually told me “oh yeah the dog stuff is all true want to come throttle a shih tzu with me? Chasten is home alone pounding ice cream and crying” it would RAISE my estimation of him. It would humanize him. That’s how low the loving bar is
