If I were famous, I would just not tweet except to promote my work. Because it's very clearly not worth it. If you just have to write your dumb opinions in public, make an anonymous twitter and never ever acknowledge it so no one knows it's you.

There are a few famous people who tweet well, but if you're gambling on being one of them rather than one of the many, many more who end up tweeting something extremely dumb or offensive then you're an idiot.

And that goes double if you're a youtuber. You're not even proper famous and you'll be absolutely raked over the coals if you tweet something dumb. Don't risk it.

It's a bit like authors being required to go on book tours. A few authors are naturally charming and witty, but a lot of them would much rather be sitting in their houses and writing. When I lived in North Carolina, a local author destroyed her heart and lungs during the fen-phen craze. The reason? She was going on a book tour and her agent thought she needed to be maximally photogenic.

But, yeah. If you think you're Dolly Parton or Cher, you are wrong on every possible level.
