They are relatively easly to get over here, either directly from stores if you set up some notifies and watch your mailbox or via resellers (and for msrp, too). PS5s get scalped to hell though for whatever reason.

I think Sony does like once a week but they're always flooded and buggy and offer about the same experience of Zerg rushing and then refreshing to see if some got rereleased into stock.

So far the only time I've seen any next gen console on a shelf at a brick and mortar store with my own eyes was a few Series S's at Wal Mart. I had to double take because they look so similar to Xbone S.

I have a 4K 55" TV with HDR8, which is basically useless. Nothing supports it. Going to just wait until my TV dies though, and then I want to upgrade to a 70" or larger.

My reaction to FH5 is following the same trend as FH4. At first it's stunning, but quickly becomes shallow and boring. The racing just seems kind of arbitrary. I did the seasonal championships and won on very skilled, then I play random races on above average and the first few cars stay 10 miles ahead of me and I never catch up. But only sometimes, more often I blow everyone out. It makes no sense. The funniest version of this was when I went to play some offroad race and picked a d class bronco and then in the race, every other driver was driving the same exact d class bronco, except the first 7 broncos drove much faster than my mine and I never got anywhere close to #7 and took 8th. So I end up turning the game on and driving around and hitting jumps and breaking boards (fun for a while mexico is gorgeous), then I do a race and turn it off. Or I do an event that is like 2-3 minutes long where I just drive straight to the waypoint and skip the track. edit: also the MP events are rear end. There are massive gaps between joining and starting.

I pretty much knew going in that my experience would be exactly the same as it was with the last two games which is that I'd immediately dump like 40 hours into it and then wouldn't touch it again until giving the expansions a spin

Since I’m pretty lovely at clean racing I usually just try to pick the car with the highest acceleration then you just ram into other cars on the turns and speed away.

Thank god, an update for Forza. I mean, the core game of racing cool cars around works perfectly and is fun. But a lot of other stuff needs some work. Anything online (even free roam) is a huge problem for me right now. They could streamline the UX a hell of a lot, to make things less confusing/overwhelming. But I can't stress enough how awesome this game is overall. My aggravation over bugs is only intensified because I want to play this game more.ZeeBoi posted:OLED TV coming this Saturday. Just make sure, if you're also upgrading a receiver, that it has HDMI 2.1 ports, or at the very least, supports HDMI passthrough up to your designation. I messed up and bought a receiver that had been on market for like 4 or 5 years, so it maxes out at 4k60 passthrough, while the TV supports 120Hz. I guess I could rewire things directly to the TV's HDMI 2.1 ports and rely on eARC, maybe? I don't feel like I'm missing anything at the moment, though. So I tried The Medium on cloud and it was...weird. Kind of hard to explain but I got like these blocky patches and when transitioning viewpoints the screen would just kind of scroll? Like I said it's hard to describe.
