People who are governed by a society have the right to participate in it. When black people were being denied the right to vote, and the government refused to do its duty to fix it, the Black Panthers were right to show up at poling stations with guns. The fact they were all assassinated later doesn't change that.
Anyway I guess this is a derail since Rittenhouse didn't act in self defense.
