The logic at my workplace is our fav CSPAM COV19 cave joke.

Cases peaked around 30 -40 a week back in Aug timeframe, back to WFH.

Now that onsite cases are back to only 2-3 a day the middle management is clucking about how we need to bring the "work-family" back together.

Just out of curiosity, is the feeling constant and would it show up on a regular blood workup for heart disease, troponin or whatever it's called? What about pericarditis?

Based on social media posts throughout this pandemic it turns out most people hate their families and want them to die, so this checks out.

The classic line, consult with a specialist.

But it sounds like from historical cases you get slammed / feel off within in a week.

I imagine a specialist could also run tests like ECG to detect heart issues and other side effects.

The good news even if you do get this rare side effect a majority of cases can be resolved with a treatment plan provided
by a cardiologist.

inre: cabinchat, I took my kid and spent the weekend on trails at some nearby state parks, and we rented a lakeside cabin for the night. I just went in masked and opened all the windows, turned on the fan, and then we built a fire and made dinner and hung out for a couple of hours. By the time it started to get dark the air in the cabin was presumably all fresh, so we went in and relaxed. It was pretty great, honestly. Not quite as safe as troglodyting, but risk factor was definitely less than 0.125 Brunches.

Apparently Pfizer submitted to the FDA today and we'll know in a few weeks. It's only showing data for unvaccinated people there are no studies on the vaccinated so I wonder if they'll even consider it.

you pay a doctor a few thousand dollars or a lot of thousand dollars per year

this covers ur normal doctor poo poo like checkups and lab fees, instead of going through insurance

the doctor can then take on less patients and be more responsive to your concerns, typically they are available to you to email them and be like "when can I get that vax???"

edit: this is just my understanding, I don't have a concierge doc

Rich people have doctors that they pay thousands a month just so they can get novel things like same day appointments / 24 - 7 service.

plus no questions asked for anything they need for their quack aging treatments or chemical dependence prescriptions.

I know for my current wonderful system it takes weeks phone calls and hounding to even get the most basic appointments scheduled.

They're lazy is what they are, where are all the online vaccine mills offering to vaccinate under 5 year olds off-label. They can prescribe people horse dewormer for COVID but an effective actual vaccine is a bridge too far?

when i thought i was dying last summer and was frantically looking for a new PCP, the first two i called were both no longer taking new patients because they were moving to providing concierge service. i had to ask the second receptionist because i was flabbergasted that it came up again. she kinda took a deep breath and said "you know lots of people are wanting fast access these days"

oh yeah speaking of exercising outdoors with a mask, do any of y'all have any tips or reccomendations for masks that work good but also don't fog up glasses and also can handle you doing an "im doing cardio" amount of breathing?

ive done some anti fog stuff on my glasses and it's Okay but not great, especially as its getting a little colder

No, my heart is fine I'm just a fat piece of poo poo. When I decided to get healthy a couple of years ago my heart rate was pretty bad but even after not exercising for a few months now, it's in the low 70's. When I am working out (and still fat) it's in the 60's.

It's a different population and the study methodologies are very different (they were looking at members of a healthcare system, probably Kaiser across WA and OR, not general population in one county).

Also - King County WA, as one of the most vaccinated places in the country, has some of the craziest antivaxxers left over in the "not vaccinated" group who are probably disproportionately licking doorknobs to own the libs vs unvaccinated people elsewhere. Population-level comparisons can't easily account for correlated differences in behavior between two population segments, and that's probably a significant factor when your study population is split 90-10 rather than more evenly.

Envo n95 solved my fog issues overnight, it's lightweight, and you can easily run in it (ie, i have).

I'd love to but I got charged $200/night for the worst loving hotel I've ever stayed in, so I'm not sure I could afford these insane prices people are asking for accommodations. After I paid out the nose for a room I decided to just stay home and find another way to enjoy my time.

not a doctor, but probably you will be better off doing exercise than not, though being so soon after your booster (even if you wait a few more days or a week or so) you will feel like you are a fat piece of poo poo who is out of shape, and while that is up to you to decide the answer to the existential question of whether or not that's truthful, consider that it will be skewed by the fact that the vax and boosters are going to make you more fatigued faster. like i said i have been in pretty good shape for doing roller derby practice for a few months now and i didn't really feel at 100% again until a couple of days ago which is two weeks after i got it.
