The logic at my workplace is our fav CSPAM COV19 cave joke. Cases peaked around 30 -40 a week back in Aug timeframe, back to WFH. Now that onsite cases are back to only 2-3 a day the middle management is clucking about how we need to bring the "work-family" back together.

The classic line, consult with a specialist. But it sounds like from historical cases you get slammed / feel off within in a week. I imagine a specialist could also run tests like ECG to detect heart issues and other side effects. The good news even if you do get this rare side effect a majority of cases can be resolved with a treatment plan provided by a cardiologist.

Loucks posted:inre: cabinchat, I took my kid and spent the weekend on trails at some nearby state parks, and we rented a lakeside cabin for the night. I just went in masked and opened all the windows, turned on the fan, and then we built a fire and made dinner and hung out for a couple of hours. By the time it started to get dark the air in the cabin was presumably all fresh, so we went in and relaxed. It was pretty great, honestly. Not quite as safe as troglodyting, but risk factor was definitely less than 0.125 Brunches. the last cabin we stayed at we did the exact same opened windows and doors, then went and made a fire and cooked up an early dinner gently caress I need to go rent another cabin

Apparently Pfizer submitted to the FDA today and we'll know in a few weeks. It's only showing data for unvaccinated people there are no studies on the vaccinated so I wonder if they'll even consider it.

when i thought i was dying last summer and was frantically looking for a new PCP, the first two i called were both no longer taking new patients because they were moving to providing concierge service. i had to ask the second receptionist because i was flabbergasted that it came up again. she kinda took a deep breath and said "you know lots of people are wanting fast access these days"

oh yeah speaking of exercising outdoors with a mask, do any of y'all have any tips or reccomendations for masks that work good but also don't fog up glasses and also can handle you doing an "im doing cardio" amount of breathing? ive done some anti fog stuff on my glasses and it's Okay but not great, especially as its getting a little colder

No, my heart is fine I'm just a fat piece of poo poo. When I decided to get healthy a couple of years ago my heart rate was pretty bad but even after not exercising for a few months now, it's in the low 70's. When I am working out (and still fat) it's in the 60's.

Also - King County WA, as one of the most vaccinated places in the country, has some of the craziest antivaxxers left over in the "not vaccinated" group who are probably disproportionately licking doorknobs to own the libs vs unvaccinated people elsewhere. Population-level comparisons can't easily account for correlated differences in behavior between two population segments, and that's probably a significant factor when your study population is split 90-10 rather than more evenly.
