shin megami tensei 2 - law ending very cool story, lol at the law path having your friend say oh I remember now, I'm actually satan! then he transforms and joins your team. I didn't like this nearly as much as smt1. 1 felt a lot more 'open world' while this is a mostly linear path with lots of backtracking.  memorize this (path from center to factory) youre going to run from 1 to 6 and back from 6 to 1 like 20 times. and this is just one of 5-6 maps you will do this in. i ended up switching from 3ds to pc emulator just to have frameskipping lol

i finally got around to beating Control last night. well , I mean I finished the last mission and got the credits or w/e but I still have a ton of post game/side quest/dlc stuff to do. game goddamn owned so hard. i cant believe i waited this long to play it.

Shin Megami Tensei V - Neutral Ending Didn't look anything up so I missed out on a bit of stuff in the ending, but that's ok I'll replay on NG+ sometime and do it all then. Good game!

i remember sector Z being the only one where the medal was hard once you know what you're doing but it being like inordinately harder than all the others, but i wonder if i was just intimidated as a kid. i think all six of the missiles are worth 10 each and 100 kills is all you need, so you just gotta take out 40 of the little guys?

beat the first boss on darkest dungeon 2. it's interesting and way more reliant on party combos than the first one. they haven't put in any cowards ways to turtle in this game, so you are always getting thrown in to the tough zone. lots more reliance and debuffing enemies than in the og.

Circle of the Moon - Fighter Mode Fighter is deliciously overpowered, just insane whip damage and can tank a lot, too. Because of that, I decided to clear the battle arena and go for 100%. At level 40 and not fully equipped, I still had to bow out after half of it - also because the game just does not give you any healing items without farming. I grinded a few levels while also looking for the best equipment and then creamed the arena at level 50. About 6 rooms were missing after that, I had to scan a map eyes peeled, classic modern 'vania experience. Now to do it all again but with subweapons!!!

If they ditch the sanity crap, completely rework the stupid grind treadmill, dramatically short the game so a run is like an hour or two tops, and also completely ditch the hideous art style it might be good.

Another way to improve it would be to edit betrayal at krobdors title screen to say darkest dungeon 2 and release that. Simple rear end. Boom. Indie treasure
