I can see the argument if it was about the Big Show or Kane, they lost their lusture because they were always there and the same is happening with Omos because a 7'4 person is no longer impressive when they're there all the time and loving suck at wrestling. But there's a difference between giants/freakshows and one of the best wrestlers in the world or a guy that everyone was begging to come back for 7 years. Plus Danielson and Punk have spoken at length about how they want to work with different talents and elevate them.

None of the people Punk has wrestled are jobbers except maybe QT. Darby is one of the 4 pillars and has beaten a lot of top people Hobbs is a planet destroyer who is booked like Wardlow except he (sadly) doesn't get enough in-ring time on TV Bobby Fish is an awesome wrestler with a great reputation and who was immediately pushed into the upper card with top talent after he debuted Daniel Garcia is not a jobber Matt Sydal is not a jobber Eddie Kingston. He loses a lot but that's his thing. He's a 20 year veteran who is absolutely not a jobber QT is a jobber. OK fine Lee Moriarty is not a jobber. He's an amazing talent and just because he's new to the company and isn't in the main event scene doesn't make him "lesser". On Jobbers vs. Main Eventers - It's something I hate the WWE refuses to do - and a big part of why they have so many rematches. And when WWE does do it? It's usually really fun. John Cena's whole US title run was basically this - he's fighting people well below his pay grade in competitive matches. Even if they're not going to win, it tells a fun story. They make you believe. And if it ever did happen? Instant star moment. Then we got the aspect of when they did have B shows, having a Main Event or Upper Mid Card on there made the show more watchable. The AEW Dark effect is basically this - Adam Cole or Bryan Danielson is there to get you to watch it, and maybe notice the other people there. I'm a dork, but I liked seeing oddball matches on the old C-shows like Jakked/Heat/Shotgun whatever even if it's obvious the bigger star was going to win. Clicking around Cagematch you got dumbshit like: Triple H & X-Pac vs. DOA on Shotgun March 99 Triple H vs. Maven for the WHC on Heat in 2003 Edge vs. DDP on Heat in November 2001(poor DDP) Chris Jericho vs. Stevie Richards, Heat August 2004 Chris Benoit vs. William Regal, May 2006 Velocity Then there's stuff like Triple H vs. Taka Michinoku in 2000, which had a fun story of Hunter almost getting his comeuppance. Although I do wonder if it's partially an issue of WWE fans being so poisoned that predictability is somehow inherently bad.

I explained it to my wife is that if somebody consistently enters the ring by just kind of popping in without any theme music or acknowledgment until the ring announcer says their name, they're a jobber. it's been a pretty reliable distinguisher to this point.
