My extended family has been really careful. Vaccines as soon as possible, boosters, masks, limited contact, watching case counts and news. ... They all decided last month to go to Hawaii, leave next week.

Tried to say the same things to my sister a few weeks ago. All I got was a thanks for the information i'M gOnNa dO mY rEsEaRcH. This is after she told me she faked a negative test result to attend a Strokes concert. I don't talk much to family anymore.

I've been at work for 4 hours and just heard the 5th code on the overhead. Most recent being on a covid unit where a middle aged gentleman passed away 2 hours ago. When our cov+ admits skyrocketed a few weeks ago I knew we had started the timer again. Omicron's not even here yet I don't think.

Out of stuff to watch so I'm watching some lib news interview of Fauci and the host asks "might this lead to travel restrictions?" like the worst possible scenario is you can't fly to France or some dumb poo poo. This constant ~we can't have LocKdoWs~  like mother fucker why don't we think of ways we can improve the situation not how is this affecting my brunch

Because the fact is we know exactly what to do we just have to want to do it. Not sure if Omicron will be that variant but the sooner, the better.
