Dawgstar posted:Back to how it was originally, at least. They used to look more like sneakers. That's why it bums me out. The ballet shoes were a really clever way to add some extra detail and characterisation which then bled into her movements and fighting (rock drummer chick also does classical dance). The sneakers fit and are comics accurate but they don't add anything new Also, I've seen a few places say this shows Miles being attacked by 2099 and um... am I losing it? To me it looks like he loses control of the dimensional portal, is gonna splat and Miguel saves him?

Watching that trailer was like the Vince McMahon meme with me getting increasingly hype. First they aged up Miles, then we see a new suit for him, then the 2099 sequence, then "Part One"!

I got so excited by that Spiderverse trailer that I went to watch the first movie only to find out my cousin still has it a year later. To make matters worse it's not on Netflix anymore and I'm seriously debating just buying a new copy.

But yeah definitely buy another copy.

It's on Netflix Canada, I just saw it on there yesterday. In the US it's on FX Now. Also Sony signed a big deal with Netflix to put all their stuff on there. So even the live action Spidey stuff won't be on D+.

Sony library titles and new releases will start going up on Disney+ sometime in 2022: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/disney-nabs-post-pay-1-rights-for-sonys-feature-films-4170479/ Not helpful if you're trying to watch Spider-Verse now, but I would be shocked if it doesn't start living there some time next year.

He was pretty great. The fact that he seemed to be a bit of an rear end in a top hat with tons of pent up rage issues was great. Daredevil was easily the best Netflix TV series attempt. The other stuff like Luke Cage or Jessica Jones or the Powerfist guy never came close imo

Daredevil is a bit of an rear end, yes. Not all the time, but he is not very good at relationships. Charlie Cox rules and played the role perfectly.

If you are going to pull from the Netflix series, might as well grab the best bits.

You get a brief shot of a giant guy in a suit coming to see Echo, and you hear the laugh. That’s absolutely intentional. They also make reference to someone else being the ‘boss’ multiple times and the character of Echo is heavily tied to Kingpin.
