I'm having high-school musical theatre flashbacks, she's got eponine in a mediocre local production of les mis written all over her, she got the role because she's the only one who can hold That One Note and for no other reason

One of those YouTube voice coach/singer reviewers did a video about Abby Shapiro, and while the reviewer did go out of her way not to be mean, she basically said that vocally, Abby does pretty much everything in the most awkward, voice-straining way possible.

Silly lady. If you want to talk smack about the nordics, don't say the houses are poorly heated. Northern houses are built for cold. What we suck at is cooling in the summer. Very few houses have AC unless they are really new.

Which makes the game a bit boring after a while because the general progress they assume is that you make more money and build a larger house. But like what do you need space for? It's just more rooms you need to clean. The actual things you use and need in life fit in a pretty small space.

When I was living in Denmark, not only did I have a bathroom all to myself, but it actually had a heated floor. Such decadence! The US might be a nice place to live if you're rich, but so many basic necessities (medicine, education, transportation internet, etc.) are priced like costly luxuries that having slightly lower taxes than the more "socialist" European countries doesn't nearly make up for it.

Having been poor on both sides of the Atlantic, central cooling and not having to share a bathroom with someone you aren't loving are nice. Necessary, no.* Nice, yes. *climate change is kinda loving with this- heat waves in Europe and the north american north killing loads of housed old, as well as homeless of all ages, people every year is not going away in our lifetimes. But good lord, living in a cheapo apartment in Toulouse, built for 1800s med climate, I spent the whole summer in my underwear fanning myself like a southern dandy and sure missed lovely Texas apartments that have central cooling because otherwise all the renters would die in their homes.
