  It's going to be super bad. If we're hosed this is delta & omicron going off, but we're more likely turbo-hosed and it's just the delta winter wave with a little bit of omicron. Once omicron starts getting that 2-3 day doubling time going, it's going to be ugly. Vaxxed America is done with NPIs and omicron seemingly loves a crowd. I think the 'mild' consent manufacturing will be going full tilt until we get through new years. And then once it becomes obvious how bad it is (maybe? hopefully?), everything will seamless pivot to blaming people for not having their holiday parties 'safely'.

Yea if the gap week between Christmas and New Years is wall to wall coverage of poo poo going south gonna be an interesting conversation as NYE parties go cancelled. However, yea if they continue without any change, things will be hosed.

So like a month ago I had to go to TN to deal with my dads cabin after he died and his house and poo poo and I was telling yall about all the stories people were telling me about the dead from covid and folks dying from lack of beds at the hospital and poo poo - They're getting hit by a fuckin tornado rn. Imagine the loving strain the hospitals are under with all the damage from these storms + covid cases.
