 Iskierka Update We have full voluntary cuddles with no blanket barrier.  She was in there first and Rexie climbed in, so it's not just begrudging tolerance. Normal routines have remained intact with all the other cats, she has the best cat manners and has been very good about navigating her way around the others and figuring out how things are done here. For example, no epic battles over bed space. Instead she found that no one was using the tiny space between the sets of pillows and claimed that as her own:  She's still small for her age, but she isn't nearly as skinny anymore, she eats like a hippo. We couldn't have asked for a smoother integration into our brood.  Oh and it's impossible to catch on video or take pictures, but she now regularly plays with both Tyrion and Bishop, which is exactly what we wanted. There have been zero incidents of them terrorizing Rexie since we brought Iska home, so mission accomplished.

Yeah they're the same size they're probably the same species. Squid camouflage mechanism is fascinating because they can voluntarily control the color and texture of their skin to better hide. I guess turning into a rock is a better choice to squid brain than trying to look like another fish or a piece of coral.
