With that resume, he'd be a shoe-in to be in a 6 figure middle management job in no time. Now obviously that's boring as gently caress work but it's steady, has good benefits beyond the pay, and all he's gotta do is occasionally drop a spook story into a company meeting now and again and he'll be the coolest motherfucker in the conference room. I do think that, whatever he is doing, he's a True Believer, but I do also think that whatever he's doing is an op and that he's trying to make as much as he can with his current schtick. Those are not mutually exclusive either.

Bingo with 9 squares is cheating! The meteor falling from space question reminded me of the Red Rain in Kerala, and digging into that again led me the Moonie wiki version of the same event, and it's just interesting comparing the dueling wikis since like, for example the new world version lists "A meteor exploded a bunch of bats" as a conventional theory when it was some dude on a podcast spitballing about how the particles looked like red blood cells. Anyway it's probably spores especially since the meteorite airburst idea struggles to explain how it stuck around for months but panspermia is fun
