Honestly when it comes to D&D podcasts I prefer the heavily edited style of something like Folk and Dagger as opposed to the glacial pacing of Critical Role where you have to sit there and listen to all the dead air and weird side tangents about nothing.

I enjoyed the Harmontown D&D sessions but every other D&D dedicated podcast I've tried to listen to has been terrible. The winning formula really is talented but drunk improv comedians being steered through a very loose plot by a sober GM. When everyone is sober and knows what they're doing it sucks.

I mean like, getting genuinely righteously mad at an NPC and absolutely refusing to work with him even though it would completely derail the quest they were on and all the other players were getting annoyed.
