I uh, put KO2s (white letters OUT) on almost every single 25+ year old diesel Toyota we import from Japan and I've not had an issue with road noise ever. Granted, none of them are particularly quiet vehicles doing US highway speeds but it's always been my understanding that for an off road tire KO2s are extremely compliant on the road, including road noise. Our current driveway and while the Hilux does have KO2s on it, the truck doesn't do well above 55 mph so the highway isn't a place its on at all.

KO2s are pretty quiet when new, but mine seem to get louder once they've worn a bit. I have had mine rebalanced recently (for TPMS experiments), and they still are kinda loud in certain speed ranges. They're not horrible or obnoxious, but yeah they are def louder than pretty much any passenger car highway tire. For my vehicle, they're totally fine.

Also, the fuckers never asked and mounted them white letters in, clearly dooming the tires.

I'm of the opinion that if a tire is meaty enough, whitewalls go out if its an option. Letters out on that truck would look great to me, but it's your truck! Looks good otherwise haha! Here's the only car I haven't posted in this thread yet, my wife's 2007 Corolla, as she races around at the autocross beginners course we took together. The most basic of cars, but by far the most reliable.

Looks like I actually have the "Rugged Terrain T/A's" and not the "All Terrain KO2" I definitely want to replace them after the winter, along with the rims themselves - the stock ones are rusted beyond repair. I might just get some general grabber or other 'highway' tires for summer and snows for the winter, or some other 'quiet' all terrain - the Vredestien Pinza AT seems like they are supposed to be decent. However if the KO2's are as good as everyone says...

I think these all look fantastic and I agree letters out works better in all of them. I do personally still think there are contextual things that can change that. For me, it’s age of the car (older more betterer letters out) and the wheels: with my newer truck and matte black wheels I felt like the letters out would be too loud relative to their surroundings and I prefer the subtler look. But that’s not to say I think letters out would not look good also. And lest you think I’m some sort of lying idiot who doesn’t ever actually like white letters, or goes off topic in the post your own ride thread:

While I love wrenching on poo poo boxes, I do not love having to work on poo poo boxes I am reliant on for daily or reliable transportation. So while the Subaru has been out of commission (last needed parts hopefully getting here tomorrow) I've been driving the 88 4Runner when I need to do something. And it is clearly old and beaten enough it may have another catastrophic failure at any time. Between that and work becoming more busy and stressful and being in the need of something reliable, I decided we should get a new truck. Given used prices and the fact I have access to a GM Employee discount through my uncle I bought my first NEW new car in a very long time. So here's our new 2022 Chevy Colorado Z71 Yes, it's a short bed, yes this is fine for nearly all of my needs. Yes, it also has four doors and this is also excellent for my needs.

I put snow tires (Pirelli Sottozero 3s) on this year for the first time in my 46 years on this earth and by doing so have essentially guaranteed there will be no snow in the southern half of WI. Sorry for any of you that live here and were looking forward to some snow, you can blame me.

Not my car just yet, but I'm probably buying this after the dealership horribly hosed up my MS3. The dealership put a huge scratch in the roof paint, I then had to push them to take it to a body shop to repaint the roof, and when I got the car back there was more damage done to it, damaged window tint, a ton of overspray, and just a total clusterfuck in general. 2021 Miata RF Grand Touring, 6 spd with ~6k miles. They listed the price as $33.5k. With trade it should be $28k out the door. Seems like not a bad deal in the current used car climate, and the car is quite fun. I did tell myself I wasn't going to buy another black car, but this seems like a good deal. Selling my car privately or on Cars and Bids probably could've netted a little more money, but it was going to be a hassle to go put tires on the OEM wheels, do some detailing, and just deal with buyers and tire kickers. I had planned to either buy wzm's Soul Red ND2 club w/ Recaros, or wait to buy a new 2022 club+recaros in either white or soul red, but here we are. Also, I need info from the other RF owning goon about his rear louvers and Fifteen52 Chicane wheels. Well, the dealer told me they had to get approval from some manager for the price I wanted but acted like they could get me to $28k out the door. They called me back and said they couldn't so I guess I'm taking the car back. My wife likes the RF. I think I still prefer the soft top but I would probably be happy with either one. Pls don't ban me for posting what I thought was my ride but isn't.

Two cars out of the 6 I have gotten new from a dealer ended up being delayed because someone hosed up the paint. One of them I really should have rejected since it needed a fender and door done as they had run something into it.

Otherwise I had intended on just buying a 2022 model from a dealer in another city whenever they showed up. It's in the past. I'll avoid giving them money for as long as I can. Wash, claybar, and applied my old Meguiar's M27 hybrid ceramic. Weird thing, I hadn't used the M27 in probably over a year and while it used to have a consistency of cream or yogurt, it was now basically water no matter how much I shook it up. So, I'm not sure if the fluid that I applied will do anything or if I just wiped on some binder or something. Paint looks pretty clean until I decide what obnoxious color to wrap it.
