There was a guy like that when I worked retail. He was there every single morning. He always rode the cramped elevator to the second floor rather than taking the stairs. Said elevator was also used by staff to move merchandise as it was the only indoor way to and from the basement.

That rage comic about 'trolling' but the first panel is the troll writing an incredibly toxic relationship as a triumph and victory of love, people reacting "that's hosed up" etc.

They've acknowledged that they know full well that the people love to watch Wilbur's world burn. I think the logistical problem there, though, is that he needs heights to fall from, you know? We can't continue to enjoy watching him lose everything next time if he already lost everything last time and doesn't have anything anymore to lose. There has to be *some* level of reset.

Estelle still deserves better, though. She's a nice lady. I think he should get a new girlfriend entirely who is also terrible in her own way.

I remember when my then boyfriend now husband was going to move in with me and my parents told me we should get married first. My response was "no" because I was an adult and can make my own decisions. They even played hardball and said we couldn't share a bed when we visited. We visited once and stayed in a cheap hotel then oh jeez we can't afford to visit any more I guess. It's too expensive. The rule went out the window quick.

It's such a baffling exchange too. The stepdad opened by asking if she had a bun in the oven. Then he's outraged a boyfriend and girlfriend might get to 3rd base??? It's all so alien.

I’d guess the paper would get at least *some* angry letters over the removal of Chickweed, and I highly suggest that anyone who expresses anguish at their removal should be under watch by the feds. Just in case.

Vater und Sohn: Pentecost acquaintance (1936/22)

From what I gather the pentecost weekend isn't much of a thing in the US? It's a holiday in Germany, and people commonly go on day trips. I'm guessing this would be on Wannsee, a large-ish lake near Berlin, where people like to go boating. With a full coffee set, apparently.

The remainder of depicted events are apocryphal.
