Yeah she was a capable action star in the other movie they riffed. I would struggle to describe Nana as two-dimensional because I don’t know what her traits are besides “nice“ and “gets off on not telling people that her husband is Santa”.

And to be clear, Bill is a pretty great ally, it's just wild how deeply ingrained this stuff is in comedy culture well into the 21st century. Not like on the good side, a spectrum I keep in my head at all times I had a talk with some friends lately in the difference between thoughtless and mean-spirited jokes and how they land differently and how MST3K/RiffTrax (usually) falls towards the latter so it doesn't quite come off as punching down as it would from a stand-up comedian who's upset because he can't use the word 'retarded' as a pejorative anymore. I'm still glad they're going back to get rid of the worst offenders.

Seeing Jack Frost in its restored print was absolutely lovely and was worth it for that alone, the new jokes are ok(?) but the one about Quentin Tarantino's horse completely slayer me so that alone was worth the money. I want more of the writers riffs, I really like Connor and Sean and the whole teams cadence when they get a chance to lead.

Jack Frost is that garbage snowman murderer movie I mentally mix up with Jack Frost staring Michael Keaton where a dad possess a snowman to teach his kid about family and christmas or something and its terrible.
