Weird, I completed a horizon tour in the bus but it didn't count. Doubt if I'll give it another shot. Here's a tune that cooks people off the line, I couldn't finish better than third with it tho. 161 805 653

Montana Trail: gently caress me, just getting a clean run on this was a huge pain. While I'm sure I could cut 11 seconds by pushing the curves even in the last half of the race, I'm pretty sure it would take me literally days of trying to actually string it together in a single run.

FWIW you can throw some of the minigames pretty fast, and since it's literally impossible to win when you're suddenly down 3 players to 6 after losing the first round then you might as well to get it over with faster.

But it can't be an unqualified statement. For example, the map of FH4 is quite homogenous compared to FH5 and FH3. A mashup of select areas in the UK, but functionally a single 'biome', compared to the variety seen in some of the other games. On the other hand (compared to FH5), the weather applies 'globally', which I certainly appreciated, lending a meaningfully different feel between the seasons, wherever you are (I'm a big fan of Winter in FH4). I never chased the service-game aspect, and nor did I engage much with the multiplayer (neither being my jam), but including the two DLCs, I clocked up a good 450+ hours with it. Certainly the most I've plowed into any FH game. By comparison, I'm playing FH5 way, *way* less. Part of that is simply there being more competition for my time right now, but it isn't the whole story.

I have a 900hp grip machine porsche and drivatars in hoonigan cfossies passes me on turns. This is an event built purely to showcase all of the game's weaknesses.

this game inspired me to buy a racing wheel, a g920 because it's the only thing i could find in this covid scape hope i don't regret this decision like i did with the flight stick (MSFS2020 always makes me wait 45 minutes at the beginning to update 69 gigs, so i stopped playing)

The singleplayer characters are uncomfortably cringey. I don't think I've ever heard anyone unironically use combinations of english and spanish in a way that FH5 does. It feels like how backwater American people expect to be greeted when arriving at Mexican resorts

The Peel Trident has in it's car mastery a skill that takes the skill multiplier to NINE. Lambo SVJs have started at a 20m buyout, possibly because of people selling cars from modded accounts. 575m, Gallardo spyder and Peel trident cannot be sold yet. Trial advice for this season: 1) get matched with a bunch of low level people in cars with garbage or no tunes 2) get blown out your first race leading to everyone quitting except you and one other guy who can drive 3) easily cruise to victory the next two races because the AI can only be ahead of two cars and if you do halfway decent you win
