Linked the tweet to a friend of mine and we had a discussion basically on this topic (And how people missed the point and ran with it), where I came out in favor of the movie version, because Doctor Manhattan was actually on board with the plan and could feasibly be called in to reinforce the training, compared to Ozymandias (And jesus loving christ I only just got the association, and theoretically he named himself that unironically) being completely unable to pull a second giant psychic alien out of his rear end because he killed all the scientists he had make it.
