Sayaka Obihiro is a treasure to this world. Pillar of Gatoh Move, tremendous worker, certified chef, a warm mentor, all of which with a sense of humor that is unmatched (her saying GAOOO so much yesterday is forever stuck in my head)...I'm glad we've had Obi for another year! She plans to wrestle all of 2022 without injury, so let's hope for the best! Obi has high charisma, great gear (did you know its called costume in Japan?), a chop that sounds like a car door slamming, and a flurry based pinning technique that I have yet to see anywhere else! Every single time the Blue Flame has appeared on ChocoPro it has been a blast, she really brings it! While she has been dealing primarily with monsters lately, this time she will be taking on a quite rare foe: Masa! How have these two not crossed paths more often?
The Drunken Monkey, Masa Takanashi, will have his hands full with Obi! One half of Calamari Drunken Kings (with Chris Brookes), Masa re-established himself in Ichigaya and has even resumed his role as the President of Gatoh Move...given the state of general affairs in ChocoPro, this is not an enviable position! This wild brawler with a fascinating unique style that includes fighting game-esque fancy footwork (and a deep appetite for alcohol) is one of the most exciting to watch! The Counter-Fighter is able to stop even the most trustworthy of signature moves, which means with him fighting Obi, this match is going to have A LOT of reversals. As Emi Sakura's stand in within Ichigaya, it is his duty to be the pinnacle of the promotion. But he's got a lot on his mind lately, with his recent Universal Championship loss against Daisuke Sasaki (the grumpy punk known as Charisma), not to mention the Asia Dream Tag Championship match that went to a draw! Both Masa and Obi could do with a win here to get solidly back on track, now that their respective business has been taken care of...

Best Bros (Mei Suruga & Baliyan Akki) VS Kaori Yoneyama & Tokiko Kirihara
The Best Bros (Mei Suruga & Baliyan Akki) could not defeat CDK. Despite Mei Suruga traveling halfway across the world to defend the belts, the Champs just weren't on the same page. That dreaded “draw” result that has haunted Akki for quite a while now has appeared once again! Even with all their fancy new techniques, the bell seemed to save the Champions. Fortunately, victory afterward utilizing the new electric chair style Dolphin press signals they are starting to get back on the right page now...somewhat at least! Mei Suruga is a submission and pin specialist that has started to make a name for herself across the sea. I, like many others, believe that this legitimate prodigy is going to be one of the best in the world before too long. Baliyan Akki is a combo technician that can pull off stunts like you've never seen (all while suffering the effects of attacks on his arm). He is the “Zephyr of Ichigaya” for good reason, but the Ace of ChocoPro needs to shake the curse and focus on victory once again. The Best Bros are still the top team of ChocoPro. They'll get back on course in no time!
COMANECI! Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara is the Iron bodied Super Rookie of the Fourth Generation. This Golden Six-Pack bearer is probably the most realistic fighter ChocoPro has to offer. She is a kickboxing & judo throwing absolute beast that brutalizes her foes...even those far above her in status! One of the great things about Otoki is that she seems like a legitimate threat to everyone she fights. She even gave the Cold Killer a run for his money! She'll be pairing up with the consistently busy Kaori Yoneyama! Between appearing as a surly clown for STARDOM (at least according to AZM), running her own Promotion (YMZ), and kicking rear end at Oz Academy, PURE-J, and more! (all promotions you should check out!), she has a lot on her plate! There is a sort of madness to Yoneyama's style of wrestling when it comes to ChocoPro. For instance, the audience sometimes finds themselves used as a weapon (with Kaori grabbing the camera for some PoV beatings)! Yoneyama is a intensely gifted wrestler...and an even greater bamboozler! Don't forget, she is one half of the former Asia Dream Tag Champs! (We miss you, Emi Sakura) Did you know she fought Kenny Omega in Gatoh Move? The Best Bros might have their hands full with this Tiger & Lion!
COLOR'S
TropiKawaild (Yuna Mizumori & SAKI) VS Chie Koishikawa & Yuko Sakurai
TropiKawaild has returned! Yuna “Yunamon” Mizumori and SAKI (po) are one of the most eye catching and coordinated teams out there. Their vibrant charisma and raw power have led to some of the spiciest moments in ChocoPro history. Yuna was the MVP of the very first season of the series. There is just something magnetic about her personality, something indescribable about the energy she brings to wrestling. Like a hero from a comic book, Yunamon devastates her enemies with a flashy flair! Her slams, headbutts, giant swings, and absolutely brutal lariats will have you rising out of your seat. But Yunamon is way more than just a vivacious power fighter! She sings her way to the ring (a duet when paired with SAKI!), dresses in a tropical manner, and is one of the more creative members of the roster outside of wrestling. SAKI meanwhile is an incredibly ferocious contender inside Ichigaya! While she was usually seen fighting at Actwres GirlZ as the champ (of both Beginning and Colors), those wrestling promotions have now shut down. While some of our favorites will continue on in the new Stage Acting focused AWG, SAKI and a select few others have formed the COLOR'S Girl's Prowrestling Unit! Think of it like a freelance faction that puts on its own shows! They're all the rage right now: we're entering a new era! Don't worry, the good old chaotic energy of Gatoh Move still runs wild in her blood! This Sumo lover (she often takes photos from live Sumo events!) has managed to create a moveset that exemplifies this hobby. Don't try to beat her in a strength contest! If you do, you'll find yourself swinging in a Campana or Vader bombed into oblivion rather quickly. Honestly, I could go on about these two forever, since they're one of my favorite tag teams. There is just something primal about that which is both Tropical and Kawaild. Unfortunately for Yuko, this is a rough team to fight in your first ChocoPro Tag bout!
Chie Koishikawa is in for a difficult task. Can one half of EGG TART join up with a guest to bring down one of the strongest teams in the series history? If anyone can do it, Chie can! With unique backhanded fencing chops, a set of lightning quick reflexes, and a penchant for Stretch Mufflers...Chie is a force to be reckoned with! While she is instantly one of the most popular characters among new viewers, Chie backs up her personality with her high speed ways. The Frantic Fencer is a charismatic ball of energy (literally, her epithet is “Too Much Energy”!). She'll won't be able to match the power of her opponents, but she'll be well equipped in the agility department! Good thing she is pairing up with a powerhouse herself! Speaking of which...The Venus of the COLOR'S Unit, Yuko Sakurai, graces us with her presence once more! While we probably won't be seeing her former tag partner Ayano Irie any time soon (good luck in the new AWG!) it is great to see Yuko back. The beautiful powerhouse made quite the impact on the ChocoPro audience with her previous appearances. This statuesque fighter has brought poise and strength to new heights in Ichigaya, but she'll have her hands full against one of the most powerful teams! Lucky then that she has experience fighting against them (especially SAKI!). While Yuko might be associated with the Statue of Liberty by her fans and her coworkers in Color's, she won't be finding freedom and friendship from the the wild powerhouse duo! Yuko has appeared in various promotions, and her powerful slam style and overwhelming grappling might shock any viewers unfamiliar with her work. Interestingly enough, she actually has a win over her tag partner this time! Chie has been somewhat of a growing tag specialist lately, so hopefully they can find a way to work together! They'll need all the synergy they can muster!

Intense Triple Threat!
Yuna Mizumori VS Choun Shiryu VS Masa Takanashi
Papaya, Mango, Coconuts! Yuna Mizumori is the Pineapple Fairy...a Sing-Song Lariat Machine! This Tropical Idol is a powerhouse (we've got two great ones today!) unlike anyone you've seen before: flashy, musical, and explosively nimble! Yuna brings the same feeling as the Ultimate Warrior (only without the negatives) while making her mark in ways that only she can. With a deep move set of power techniques and a knack for entertaining (she is a real idol, after all! I can't imagine the work schedule she has to deal with!) Yunamon is hard to take your eyes off of. Once she gets moving, you will find yourself swept up in that indescribable, undeniable, Tropical passion! With splashes and flashy call-out based attacks, Yuna is one of the best ChocoPro has to offer. Will she be able to take out her technical foes and show why she is truly on a meteoric rise to the top? Can't stop the Tropical Yahho!
The Counter-Fighter, Masahiro Takanashi, is in the fray! These multi-man matches are where he excels the most, so that is good for him. While the Drunken Monkey has been appearing regularly for ChocoPro, DDT (including pairing up with Maya Yukihi!), and YMZ...Ichigaya is very much his domain. (He is the President of Gatoh Move, you know!) Masa is a laid back ruffian with a fluid style that is both graceful and confusing. How can he pull off such silky smooth techniques with such little effort? His swaying movements, tricky reversals, and surprisingly brutal submissions will have you thirsty for more. Did you catch his epic entrance for his bout with Daisuke Sasaki at DDT? Masa is one of the coolest wrestlers out there...and he'll show you why very quickly in this bout. CDK has unfinished business in ChocoPro...so expect some twists and turns with him coming soon.
Choun Shiryu is the Dragon of Ichigaya...and the Interim Super Asia Champion! He brings with him an dynamic intensity and unbound creativity that few possess. When he isn't showing off his in ring (and in square) IQ, his lighter-than-air movements and brutal alternative strikes are a positively flashy affair. Choun's Kung Fu inspired move set makes all of his matches must watch, you just never know what he is going to do next. He makes every match look like a fight scene from a Jackie Chan movie (his idol!) with his expertise in motion and punishment. Choun has been a stalwart champ...and the Dragon will defend his reputation just as fiercely as his title! Keep in mind, if he is pinned or submitted it could lead to another Title Defense! Can the Kung Fu Specialist pull off another flashy victory? The battle ahead is a grim one. As Choun would say, ”So what?”! Remember...”Don't think. Feel!”

Will he wrap them in that brutal Kimagure Lock? These two are deadly on their own, but together they're a universal threat. While the team to dethrone them has yet to appear, this time they'll be facing a more than adequate pairing: two of the veterans! Let's hope that the strange dissonance between them we've been seeing lately doesn't come into play...
Bearer of the Blue Heart, Sayaka Obihiro, returns! The seasoned veteran might usually be busy with her Chef duties, but that doesn't mean she can't occasionally cook up a top tier match in Ichigaya! (Although quite often it involves fighting off the invading UMA monsters) Obihiro is always a treat to watch, with a charismatic personality and a flashy set of gear. Her wild demeanor and deep sense of humor will win you over pretty quickly. Add in her smooth way of moving and ungodly striking capability, and she'll be making magic along side Hagane Shinno! (A super rare combination, and a first in ChocoPro!) The handsome devil and “Cold Killer” is usually a man of few words...but a lot of violence! His relentless assaults (consisting of heavy striking and vicious technical prowess) bring the often lighthearted ChocoPro back to the Brutality of Reality. While he is usually paired with Chie, Obi shares a lot of her character traits and this team will in theory be a great fit...but as always, in practice and in theory are two different worlds!
Chie & AKARI
Sayaka & Masa Takanashi VS Chie Koishikawa & Pure-J's AKARI
Sayaka's gonna kill you! The Green Flame Slayer doesn't mess around! This “Beautiful Cosplayer” might be known for her ungodly forearm strikes & elbows, but her new gear is fantastic. Featuring an entrance hood and bright green flames (to compliment her usual white & blue), Sayaka now cuts an even more memorable figure. While probably still the Fourth Generation's least experienced member (due to a gap during the Pandemic) Sayaka has been showing signs of catching up at an alarming rate! Her submissions, striking, and that killer dropkick are already wowing the online audience. (She earned the Season 10 MVP for a reason!) She'll be pairing up with Masa Takanashi, one of the best technicians in the promotion! While he is probably focused on his upcoming battle with the Super Asia Champion Choun Shiryu, Masa is luckily able to multitask well. This cunning trickster tends to frustrate his opponents with his slick wrestling acumen and his counter focused style. Masa is also a tag specialist (known for multiple stellar teams at that) so he is able to work with Sayaka without too much issue, despite having only tagged with her a few times. The “Drunken Monkey” of Ichigaya always delivers a must see match, but this match won't be a walk in the park! Will he finally hit that Taka Tonic?
Chie Koishikawa's Quest has been her slow ascent to the top...with stellar matches and an undeniable spark of greatness. Part of that Quest has been pairing up with multiple new tag partners, as is the case this time. Chie is truly special, in more ways than one: a wrestler that focuses so directly on agility without high flying is quite rare! While the “Ace of the Fourth Generation” might not be on the winning side as much as her fans would like, Chie's passion for wrestling is as vibrant as she is loud. Expect her to unload on her foes with lightning quick backhanded chops! Will we see her Muffler variants this time, or how about that hidden dark side? Speaking of dark sides, she'll be pairing with the Oni-Mask wearing phenom! Hailing from Chile, AKARI of Pure-J finally returns! She has a ton of experience, an AMAZING look and entrance gear, and is a big NOAH fan (it shows in her style!). The Princess of Pro Wrestling Champion (a title held by many greats over the years) makes an impact the moment she appears on screen! You'll fall in love with her technical ability and overall vibe before you know it. It is going to be great to see her go against Sayaka's striking and Masa's technique! AKARI is a good representative for Pure-J, a service you should definitely check out. We've seen a couple of great names cross over, but they have a great roster! They run mostly through YouTube, as well!
