Pro-tier poster / trasher confirmed I need to sort my stuff out and get to brewing myself (I have some home brew gear gathering dust due to lack of space), it will be a disaster but that's how we learn right? |

brewing is way less hard than people think. you'll probably make a few mistakes but still end up with something pretty drinkable, and you'll get better next time! like imo if you can make soup from a recipe, you can make beer also there's several of us here who brew and there's a whole homebrew thread in GWS which isn't crazy active but is very responsive to questions and supportive of new folks

Last year we made vodka, whiskey, rum, and brandy umeshu. Ranking: 1. Vodka 2. Rum 3. Whiskey 4. Brandy Next year we'll skip brandy and maybe make umeshu with vodka with and without lemon, plus rum and whiskey. Maybe just make an all-lemon liquor too. |

I do like brandy though and this was years ago. I made it again last year, so in may we'll find out! This year I made the normal white liquor one, awamori and kokuto, brandy, salted red shiso, and regular red shiso (I was just going to make it with regular red shiso but I could only find the pickled stuff then later I found regular raw shiso so I decided to do it after all). All with Wakayama Nanko ume. |

my hands have near been this ravaged by nature before. I use an in-shower moisturizer and I keep aloe lotion on hand this time of year--lotion is my road dog dear reader nonetheless my poo poo is raw as hell from all the cold winds outside, let alone all the angry omicron hand washing and ham sanitizers. what's the solution 2 this besides strong drink

Areola Grande posted:tyvm. I'm calm like a balm rn I'm glad it helped! I had to find something last year when the cold weather started ruining my hands. A friend suggested something that just didn't work, because I have really sensitive skin, so I looked at online reviews/breakdowns really quick and found something that worked well for me. Not cheap, but it was a huge relief! I hope your hands feel better soon! Challed hands is the worst! |

I use moisturizer that's literally made from sake. https://www.kikumasamune.shop/c/cosmeandbath/nihonsyukesyouhin/nkl45 I use the pump lotion and also have the tub of thick cream. Everything smells like sake and it works well and reduces redness. |

In one of the episodes of the first season they wrap up a plot point with a character from the episode in the audience for his stand up routine and they directly interact about something in the episode. |

AG I suffer from eczema and used to suffer rashes all over my body all through the year but especially in the cold months. I started taking vitamin D3 supplements last year and now my skin is incredibly soft, unblemished and rash-free. Might be worth a shot?

Also don't some lotions have vitamin D in them? My dad also has eczema and swears by shia butter. I'm not sure if it helps but the body soap I usually get has shia butter in it. |
