I like deer and am comforted by the fact that 99% of the hunters out there don't go more than a hundred yards or so from a road. Honestly I get it, gently caress the whole idea of dragging a deer a mile out of the forest.

We usually walk through brush and thorn vines and kick out deer while we see guys get out of their truck and walk like 25 yards away and stand by a tree all day and they’re like “I never see any deer” I once had to drag a 125lb field dressed deer through a field that was more mud and swamp than hard ground and it was a long loving way to the road. I was done for the day after that and I’ve ran 10 mile races.

I had a coworker brag about hunting boars with bows and arrows before. But than i found out boars like just burrow in some hole and they just smoke the whole family out. They hun in nort texas they showed me.

Also for years the province has asked for heads of deer to be sent in to the provincial lab for monitoring of the spread of CWD

I keep reminding our local doe that she's not only edible but choice. Bitch still munched my tea bush. Really, really impressed that a gun culture like Texas hasn't been able to eradicate wild boars. I'm assuming they can survive high summer temperatures and drought as well.
