To further tangent off accent chat, I was surprised to see a bunch of complaints from people that the fake post-apocalyptic pidgin language of Cloud Atlas was apparently unintelligible to them? Movie was bad, but I don't remember having the slightest difficulty parsing any of what was said.

A friend of mine is a big Joe Bob Briggs fan and I showed her Hack-o-Lantern and then she went home and immediately watched the JBB episode of Hack-o-Lantern. She's now obsessed with Hy Pyke and I don't blame her.

I saw it yesterday and I didn't even want to muster a post. All the action scenes are like people playing with VR goggles, the actors just fighting against air and then the cgi slaves add colored laser and cgi monsters around them. You know when 2 actual people fight, fighters make small spacial adjustments against each other every second. There is absolutely zero interaction between actors and cgi monsters.

My biggest peeve is that the film is so overstuffed and long that they had to have a character point blank tell you a characters motivation with no build up twice to make sure you got it because otherwise the scenes would have made no sense based on what was established
